Muck fichigan!
I feel like a lot of Harbaugh’s complacency is coming from him knowing he’s not going to be at Michigan much longer. He’ll jump at the first NFL gig that gets dangled in front of him. Maybe Indy? Why bother wasting time recruiting when you hate it to begin with.Harbaugh murdered all their momentum + Freeman is out hustling him . They should be recruiting at a top 5 level right now. Tough to be too mad as a Michigan fan since you’re likely a top 2 team in the country, but really isn’t going to be sustainable with recent classes.
I don't think hes going anywhere for a long time.I feel like a lot of Harbaugh’s complacency is coming from him knowing he’s not going to be at Michigan much longer. Me neither; I think he realized after his last interview with the Vikings this past offseason that his coaching stile just doesn't jive with the NFL. Not many coaches get run out of town after the type of success he had in San Francisco.I don't think hes going anywhere for a long time.
Get this 2 year old off the internet....I think we need to pray Harbaugh leaves for the NFL. This 2022 Michigan team would absolutely spank any ND team I've seen play in my lifetime. If they win a national championship this year - which I'm starting to think is a real possibility - they will be able to smash us in recruiting battles for years going forward. They're already a near lock to make the national championship game. If both UofM and OSU cement themselves as superior midwestern programs to us we are screwed for years.
I don't think that is what happened though. The one report I read recently (I think it was on the Athletic) said that Harbaugh wanted that Vikings job bad, but approached his interview in a horrible manner. Basically he went in making demands, thinking the job was his. It turned the Vikings off on him and they moved on.Me neither; I think he realized after his last interview with the Vikings this past offseason that his coaching stile just doesn't jive with the NFL. He'd be wise to stay at scUM but I'm not one who considers Harbaugh "wise."
FifyMods pls ban again

This guy is either delusional or just trying to stir things up. Reality is UM is the weakest #2 I have ever seen in my lifetime, and it isn't close. The ND teams that made the playoffs would beat this Michigan team by 20.I think we need to pray Harbaugh leaves for the NFL. I have to think this is probably affecting his recruiting pitch too.I don't think that is what happened though. I think he would jump at the Colts job in a heartbeat.

Absolutely! Michigan's "top ten" opponents won all their games in a trash big 10. They haven't played anyone either. ND played generational teams. ND played those teams way tougher than the eventual runner up did. Those Alabama and Clemson teams were some of the best ever assembled. Those teams would absolutely DESTROY this version of UM. UM is not good. Ohio is not good. ND was brutal up front when they played them and still almost beat them. Penn St is not good. The big ten is horrible. An average varsity team better look good playing against a junior high team. Of course Michigan will look good playing against bad teams. If they beat Georgia, I will admit they are good (although Georgia isn't as good this year). How can you possibly think that? You think the ND teams that lost by, variously, 28, 27, and 17 points in the BCS national championship and playoff semifinals would beat an undefeated Michigan team with multiple top 10 victories by 20 points? What is your reasoning? Every time we have a big postseason game we lose by double digits literally without exception.

Yeah, I don't see it.Not really sure why everyone is so triggered. I like beating Michigan. Given the way the programs are trending (shelving the scheduling concerns and whenever the next game is supposed to be) it seems like they will be a better team for some time. The 2022 wolverines look really, really good. They have an actual shot at a national championship this year, and if they win it'll be two for them and none for us in a 30 year period. That's why I'm saying we better cross our fingers harbaugh exits to the NFL asap.
There's a book I saw referenced in past threads that details the history of how Michigan in the Fielding Yost days kept Notre Dame out of the Big 10 because Yost hated Catholics. If anyone knows what I'm talking about I'd appreciate knowing the title so I can pick up a copy.
Yep, It's Natural Enemies by John Kryk. He grew up a Michigan fan in Windsor, Ontario, but it's actually a very well written book.John Kryk Natural Enemies??
Murray Sperber Shake Down the Thunder also??
... has been written about several times.
