Wouldn't be shocked if Hairball is off to Miami soon. Ross (the owner) is a grad of SCUM and would like to hire him. The hangup apparently is he doesn't want to do anything to hurt is alma mater. F them.
21 Assistants have left since Harbaugh took over.
Also the humor on Mgoblog is fantastic. Comparing their talent to Clemson and how close they are to competing. The only reason 5 stars go to UM is because Alabama or Clemson or any of the top 5 don't want them. And frankly I don't know why any legit 5 star would go there when they'd be fast tracked to the NFL at other places.
I saw yesterday that they are among the top 5 in way too early Vegas odds for the Natty next season, which I think is laughable. It's funny because I see it as Vegas just trolling unrealistic fan bases into betting on their teams. I hope scUM fans are bullish on next years' team, bet the farm on the skunkbears, and retreat back to their trailer parks where they all belong.
Normally I'm not so mean-spirited, but all bets are off when it comes to that fan base.
Their only hope is if Mcaffery takes over at QB. Ive seen enough of Patterson to know he ain't all that. Their defense is gutted, they lose their best RB and some OL. Not to mention losing a lot of position coaches and possibly Don Brown to Temple. Not sure how they get such a lofty rating all things considered.
It's beyond me. The only position group of theirs that is worth mentioning is WR where they are stacked if they stay healthy. (worth noting: DB and pass rush will be the strength of ND next season, so that cancels out as far as I'm concerned).
The media still has a boner over Harbaugh which baffles me after 4 seasons.
Straight talk, you give a Big 12 OC Shea Patterson and those WRs they'd be lethal. Can you imagine Mike Leach with that talent?
It's truly insane how awful of an offensive coach Jim Harbaugh is.

I don't see Patterson as anything special. Certainly not Mayfield/Murray/Tua level. He can barely make some throws, overthrows and a lot of underthrows. Plus ball security is non-existent.

Is this good or bad? I can't tell.

he is supposedly a good coach and decent recruiter...plus the whole poly thing to get players there

Well they did offer a 7th grader so theres that...
DE Reuben Jones has entered the Transfer Portal, would have been a RS SR with 7 career tackles.
His likely departure will mean that SCUM will enter the 2019 season with one single RS SR in Jon Runjan Jr
