No it’s definitely more than that if you’re saying “another one of the young people” lol. But good recall, it’s very possible the health scare made him want to take a step back. Explains a few things

Young ppl are experiencing severe health issues across the board (heart issues, spike in cancers, specifically rare cancers, and nervous system issues). Not opinion, acturarial based. I couldn't recall exactly what it was for Mike Hart but remember it being serious. Could be part of his exit? Who knows.

Hart's contract expired in January. With Haskins and Corum both now gone, and with Harbaugh to the NFL, it was an easy out for Moore not to bring him back if he chose that route.

There is still movement in the carousel but it appears the open RB coaching jobs are filling up. Curious to see what his next move is.

Ballsy move. I can't see what Alford would get out of it other than a potential raise. He'd be walking into a more volatile situation with a new head coach, possible repercussions from the NCAA still, and a lot of other instability. Promise him a path to OC finally?

Gotta respect that move by Michigan if they're able to pull it off. I don't think it's amazing for them outside of perception in the Buckeye fanbase, though. Then again, they will probably replace him with someone like Eddie George which may be a net upgrade.

They just hired Chip Kelly. Hard to tell if a path to OC, for a 55 year old who has been coaching nearly 30 years and has never been an OC, would be part of the deal. I'm guessing not. Alford has interviewed for HC jobs. It's hard to imagine anything happening for him if it hasn't already.

Alford has coached under Dan McCarney, Steve Kragthorpe, Rick Neuheisel, Charlie Weis, Brian Kelly, Urban Meyer and Ryan Day. These are all guys who know other guys and have networks. Tony Alford should have gotten something by now, which means he either isn't really pursuing it or it isn't going to happen.

Alford's wikipedia page has been updated and he's listed as Michigan RB coach.

Whoever wants to be layered under Day, Chip Kelly and Hartline....good luck.

Sounding like Ohio State is targeting Eddie George.

Haven't seen Deland on any short lists. They seem to largely revolve around Eddie George as you mention followed by Robert Gillepsie and Stan Drayton. The rest seem like pipe dreams like CJ Spiller and Demarco Murray.

Damn. Michigan out here having some semblance of ethics. If he were with the White Sox, Jerry may have just given him a promotion.

Given his repeated problems like this, the dude probably needs to get some help. Ethics aside, a major college football coaching job isn't really conducive to that sort of thing. Hopefully he's back on his feet somewhere this time next year.

Getting so caught that you do the bare minimum does not achieve the semblance of ethics. Sir say three Hail Mary’s and four fuck Michigans to absolve your sins
This is Michigan we're talking about.

The bar of ethics for them might as well be in the Mariana Trench.

There's no semblance of ethics. Having a coach with a drinking problem is a PR nightmare. Get them off the payroll asap. Cheating is fine.
