So that's assuming,,,, that the assumption would be that Bernie would have beaten Trump? That's what I don't get. I think Trump would have won much easier vs Sanders.

I think the Dems should have planned retirements better in year 6 and 7 of the Obama years.

What an embarrassment. This should have never made it to the light of day. Dr. Cat Lady is 0/4 in witness corroboration - even if true you are just SOL at that point. Only Peabody and Sherman can get the "facts" on this one and they would have to follow this train wreck around the entire summer of 1982 to "prove" anything. I don't get the people saying she was so compelling - it came off as pretty damn rehearsed and anything off the script she was completely lost. I don't doubt something happened to her - I would be surprised if this the only event, just as surprised as if Kavanaugh was the person who did it.

The saddest thing to me - the only Dems that will vote for Brett will be one or two in heavy red states. They will vote out of political expediency, not what is right. This should be a 65/35 confirmation with a pile of Dems denouncing these tactics. The fact they are able to be so much in lockstep is just appalling to me.

First time I have ever fist pumped anything coming out of Lindsay Graham but his point that he voted for Kagan and Sotomayor resonates with a lot of Americans. You are there to qualify them for the seat, not vote on ideology. Also don't think most normal people lose any sleep over Roe v Wade one way or the other. Dying on that hill is not impressing anyone remotely normal, IMO.

They are arrogant and assume everyone is in their camp. They could not imagine anyone other than Hillary winning after Obama. In their arrogance they imagined picking up more Senate seats so Hillary could appoint Obama and then whoever the next most liberal person imaginable for the court they could find.

I heard on Bill Maher after the election that if you just take the ballots that voted straight-ticket Democrat but left President "blank", ostensibly because they couldn't bring themselves to vote for HRC, that it would've flipped the state in her favor.

So they put themselves in this situation by being corrupt, costing themselves two SCOTUS seats that taken together have the ability to undo decades of liberal policy.

In a desperate attempt to stop Kavanagh confirmation, they withheld information for many weeks trying to run out the clock to the mid-terms where they could maybe take back the Senate. These tactics are galvanizing the Right... which until this point was very split and parts of it very displeased with Trump... and moreover it's rubbing a lot of people in the center the wrong way. It has potential to not only fail in main goal of preventing a conservative court, but totally backfire and cost them big in 2018 and 2020 when they had been surging in special elections and polling since Trump's election.

All facts my guy- I'm centered in many ways and this was just horribly done. If they had an issue with Kavanagh, why bring this up this damn late in his career? How did he get this far and nobody say nothing.......until now?

They WAITED since the beginning of the year to bring this up NOW. That's what bothers me more than anything else. Seems they really don't care about justice - just political points.

I would have voted Trump before Clinton but I too left it blank, and yeah... after the last year or so and now this... 'partisan' can prob describe my voting practices over the next few elections. I am so turned off by the left over their post Trump actions that I'm seeing the Republicans as the only option, which says something considering how turned off by them I was in the year or two leading up to 2016.
