Including:
David Perkins: Four-star linebacker from Washington High School in South Bend, Indiana

Blurb: Perkins is best known at Ohio State for lighting up Brutus Buckeye during the team's student appreciation practice in April 2013. Not even three months later, Perkins left the program in what Meyer called a "mutual" decision. He played sparingly on special teams as a freshman in 2012, but went to Illinois State for the rest of his college career after he was arrested on May 25, 2013 during a visit to Bowling Green. Perkins amassed 154 tackles, 20.5 sacks and an interception in three seasons with the Redbirds. He recently signed a free agent contract with the Seattle Seahawks after not hearing his name called in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Dean, as probably most of us recall, was the signee for OSU's 2015 class who had an ACL injury in h.s. OSU took him anyway and then ruled him medically ineligible after he signed. He transferred to Auburn and had to sit out last year per transfer rules.

What defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson had to say: "I mean his knee looks exceptional. He's running, he's breaking, so I'm excited about him. Don't know what the future is going to hold, as far as when is going to play and all that kind of stuff, but he is doing a great job. He's a great kid and I'm so happy we got them."

Auburn cornerback Jamel Dean makes 'big leap' to end spring, still in position battle
 (April 28, 2016)

Jamel Dean made a strong first impression and closed spring practice with a bang.

The Auburn cornerback is entrenched in a battle with fellow redshirt-freshman Javaris Davis for a starting job opposite Carlton Davis. Dean had three tackles on A-Day compared to one by Javaris Davis as both took reps with the first-team defense on the Blue team.

"We got a good battle going on with the entire secondary; it's just that you was able to witness those two guys move back and forth on that side at corner," defensive backs coach Wesley McGriff said after a meeting of the Georgia Mountains Auburn Club Thursday night in Jasper, Georgia. "When you got two good guys like Jamel Dean and (Javaris) Davis, it's a luxury. So we got to make sure that both of them get better and they progress to give us a chance to go out in the league and play well.

I had a great experience in Norman in 2012, what a game. I met johnnycando as well that day. We met over by some sort of Fan Experience thing they had set up, but it was a bit crowded so we drifted near the port-o-potty area. We laugh about it now, shitter's full!!!!!!
