It's a Win/Win for Wiscy, IMO. The OOC loss doesn't do much to their annual aspirations. However, it does make a nice recruiting piece for the pool of available prospects Wiscy recruits.

I haven't gone back and looked at Alabama's out-of-conference agreements of the last 10-15 years or so, but it seems like my knee jerk reaction is, "we'll see if they don't cancel the series."

I know Bama actually does this less than some of their SEC brotheren, but still call me in the "I'll believe it when I see it" camp.

Any word on where they will play? I assume this isn’t a home and home.

Surprisingly, it is a home & home series. The last time Bama played at someone else's house out of conference? 2011 @ Penn St.

All the games they played since vs SC, MI, WI, VT & such were all down south in Dallas, ATL or Orlando.

All their bowl/playoff games? Down south in the conference footprint. Except for last years NC Game in NorCal... which they got housed. And those SEC'ers think traveling is easy. Surprise.

So they will go a decade without playing on some else's turf. They play at Texas in '22.

They manage their schedule to the extreme AND get help from the SEC. They haven't played at Florida since 2011 and they'v played UGA once in the regular season since 2008. How is that possible.

They got the big trip to Ole Miss every other year tho. That SEC grind.

That is surprising they agreed to a home and home.

Dylan Moses tore his ACL. Big loss for them. There's probably a 5 star waiting in the wings, though.

Yeah...next man in has a little different feel to it at a place like Bama.

Still, what a talent. Hope he recovers well. Hate to see it.

RS SR 4* Joshua McMillon - INJ
JR 5* Dylan Moses - INJ
RS SO 4* Markail Benton
RS FR 5* Ale Kaho
RS FR 3* Jaylen Moody
FR 4* Shane Lee
FR 4* Christian Harris
FR 4* Kevin Harris

They had 8 ILB at Alabama going into the season which was fantastic with depth and talent. However, they’ve now lost both starting ILB and their two most experienced LBers in the inside position. It looks like they’ll start Christian Harris and Shane Lee who are both true freshman. I feel bad for the two injured kids. And I know Alabama has more talent in the 6 remaining LBers than ND’s recruited talent but they’ve not got much experience or older kids who’ve been in the system for a long time. It’ll be interesting to see how they fare in the middle of their defense. They’re absolutely stacked at their two OLB positions with 7 4-5* recruits there but ILB will be a position of concern for Bama for sure.

Bama might be seeing a lot of counters this season. lol

We'd already lost another projected starter at LB (McMillon) so losing Moses seriously hurts. He was a Butkus finalist last year. Not easy to replace that.

On some level I feel sorry for you Bish :), it's just not a very deep level.
Just please beat UGA in the CC.

I feel terrible for the kid. I hope he’s able to get past this and look forward to an NFL career.

I don’t, however, feel all that bad for Alabama.

Didn't Bama when the NC the last time it was talked about them losing a lot of LBs to injury?

So their top 2 are out...why are we even playing this season then?

In 2017 we had a lot of LB injuries with 2 starters or 2-deep guys lost for the year and several others out for multiple games. By the Auburn game 6 of our top 8 were out, though we did get 3 or 4 of them back for the playoffs. Moses, a true freshman at the time, was forced into a starting role in the Auburn game because of all the LB's who were out of commission. We basically had to run a nickel or dime package almost all game due to the lack of LB's.

Well, I hope that the athlete gets healed enough for his NFL career, but GAWD I find it impossible to feel ANY level of "sorry" for Alabama football --- Wow, what a tough break ... Wow, how will they survive?

... and why would we want Alabama to beat Georgia since it is Georgia that WE play? Win or lose at Georgia, we want THEM winning the SEC. (unless we don't give a damm about final rankings.)

Everyone probably already knows, but Tua injured his ankle against UT Saturday and had surgery on it yesterday. Very similar to the injury and surgery he had in December after the SECCG, but to the other ankle. He's expected to be able to play in 3 weeks against LSU.

All things being equal (no additional injuries, suspensions and what not for either team) do you think Bama wins if Tua isn’t full go?

I'd have to give LSU a slight edge. In years past, we could contain almost any O in the country, but we don't have that sort of dominant D this year. We've gotta light up the score board this year, and to do that we need Tua. If he's only at around 75-80%, LSU probably wins.

Yup, I know it's @ Bama and it's a rivalry game but I had LSU winning this game before the Tua injury. So this news just makes me even more confident in a LSU win.
NO WAY Tua is going to be 100% in 3 weeks, 4 maybe. I'm expecting Tua to play but LSU is going to blitz the scrap out of Tua and make him run around on that bum ankle.
