He at least mentioned that Coach Willingham's gameplan for Rees will revolve around avoiding situations where he has to run, and can hand off to Elmer Layden if needed. Reggie Ho's accuracy is also a concern according to Bama fans.

They are just pissed that our head coach can be on college football live everyday with Mark May... But at least the show takes away from his game planning...

Bama troll on ESPN told me how Rees is going to have a long day bc he doesn't have the mobility to escape pressure from the superior Bama D. I think that tells you all you need to know about how much they actually know about us.

Shoulda told him Christ was starting

Also, after watching the SEC Championship, I'm worried about injuries. Dang those guys hit hard. Especially worried about Golson getting hurt

I find it funny the double standards that are evident from some of the trolls posts. If Texas A&M was still in the Big 12, they would say that JM sucks and would be killed by SEC defenses. Since he is in the SEC, they all have a hard on for him and are saying how EG is going to struggle against a SEC defense. These double standards are crazy.

They freaking destroyed DR in that first game, so there is a threat there.

DR destroyed himself. Heres a hint DR: WHEN you throw a pick, and decide to make a tackle, don't spear the safety that outweighs you with your throwing shoulder.

I'm nervous about what Bama is going to be able to be ready for defensively with 36 days to prepare for us. Plenty of time to watch every snap we've taken 20 times. Bama is going to be dialed in and well prepared.

That being said, our defense is going to be doing the same thing. It's going to be a slug fest.

I do think ND has the ability to change things offensively in terms of wrinkles more than Alabama

I think Louis Nix is going to be our saving grace against Bama's Oline. They are going to have to double, sometimes triple team him, and that will keep their Olinemen from getting to our second level.

My biggest worry is not facing Alabamas running game, or Oline. It is our red zone offense. We need TD's to win, especially if we get some TO's early. FG's wont do it, and I dont like how Alabama takes control of games in the fourth quarter.

Eifert is going to be HUGE! He's a mismatch all over the field. I also like Golson picking up 4-5 yards to keep the chains moving with his feet, he's just gotta slide lol.

If we get some timing down with Chris Brown, he could end up being a nightmare for Alabama's secondary. I think Kelly comes out with a quick tempo so Ba,a can't sub.

Lets go irish

I'm with ya. We are a young, and growing offense. They are established in their identity. We are going to progress a lot over the next few weeks, we'll have some new faces and new looks emerge.

I haven't had time to watch the full game again but the highlights are telling. A&M did a great job at stopping the run game at initial contact and capitalizing in turnover opportunities.

Golson is going to have to play out of his body in this game. The passing oppurtunities will be there if he uses his legs to stretch drives and reads the run opps right.. Oh my God this is so exciting!!!!

Guys, don't forget that our boys are well conditioned and trained to be a 4th quarter team as well. The 4th Q has been our strong point all season. Don't assume we'll get pushed around like UGA did in the second half.

They will not be able to neutralize Eifert. The SEC has probably 2 good TE's in general, and maybe one within the top ten of CFB. They don't play against big, receiving TE's. Eifert will own.

That would just be weird for my sister as she lives in Tuscaloosa down the street from the Smarts...and she went to Auburn.

While my Dad went to ND...and we get to go spend Christmas with them in Tuscaloosa and Nashville over the holidays.

Fun times!!

Well, they do think it's a decided advantage that we have to fly over the Atlantic Ocean from Paris to play the game.

Not sure if its good, bad, or ugly...

But their players necks explode Mark McGwire style once they hit campus ... And their ill ole running backs have arms the size of our players heads... But I'm SURE it's all just good ole southern style weight lifting....

Let's not get too excited. Bobby D is interviewing with BC.

ND can afford to keep him in the fold if they want. As can Bama afford to keep KS, even if he is already the highest paid asst coach in the SEC.

But I had no idea that Diaco was interviewing with BC. That would be a killer if he goes to them on the verge of the national championship game.

BC will talk to ND DC Bob Diaco, but Cal has already talked to him, KState's Hazzell and MState's DC P. Narduzzi. ajerseyguy.com

Manti said that one of the reasons he returned was because of Diaco, I don't see Diaco leaving until after the game, if he does.

This would actually work in Bama's favor. They have more than enough DL depth to keep their guys fresh and our front seven needs as much rest as possible between possessions against that monster OL.

Sure they can. He will be their #1 priority on defense. Jones, Daniels, Toma, Riddick, and Brown need to make the best of the one-on-one opportunities Eifert will give them, and Golson needs to find them when they're open.

Hi, im a Bama fan, after reading some of the ND fans' thoughts on here, i thought i would give some thoughts if yall want to hear a different perspective.

ND has had a great season, undefeated and you have to respect that, but i am shocked at some of the comments about Alabama and how ND will match up.

First of all, your TE does look good, no doubt, but some members on here are acting like he can't be covered.
If thats the case, shouldn't he have had more than 40 something receptions and 4TD?

I mean why not throw it to him more in the Pitt game and save yourself the drama of overtime, after all, no one can cover him right?

And then someone said that ND has a better passing game than Bama, does anybody read stat sheets?

McCarron leads the nation in passing efficiency with a 173.8 , and has 26TDs and only 3INTs.

Your QB has 11TD and 5 picks and is 64th in the nation is passing efficiency at a 131.8 rating.
Denard Robinson has a 127.4 rating to give you an idea of how mediocre that is.

I do think ND stacks up very good on defense, this could turn out to be an old fashioned slug fest.

I hope to not come off as trash talker, and y'all have every right to be proud of your team after they went undefeated.

I just think some fans are getting carried away, go to a Bama board and you will find some over the top fans too, i try to keep level headed.

Fair points but Eifert has to be doubled. That's why we are saying we match up well in the pass. TJ Jones has emerged as another solid option in the passing attack as the season has progressed. We are by no means saying we're going to throw for 300 yards or destroy your secondary, but I think we can test it more than Georgia bc Eifert can line up as a TE/WR, and Riddick can line up as RB/WR. Put a LB on Eifert or Riddick and it isn't going to be pretty. Play a safety or corner on Eifert and he'll out jump them. I have no doubt Saban will come up with the best may to mitigate their impact.

Im not so sure you can chunk it around as good as UGA, you are talking about a 4 year jr that has started for 3 years, against a rs freshman.
Then you have to also compare him to a BCSNCG MVP qb.

He'll bracket Eifert with a S on virtually every play, and force ND to go over the top to Daniels and Jones.
