Also, to be honest, I wasn't 100% ecstatic when Bama got a commitment from him. From all accounts, he's a quality kid who values his education, but some of the kids he associated himself with in High School weren't exactly the greatest kids. No clue who those two other guys are, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if they were two of his buddies from Muscle Shoals.

Yes. But the implication of a 19 year old student-athlete taking a picture with hundreds of dollars, posting it for the world to see, and then deleting in minutes later is that he did something illegal/illicit.

The Te'o situation was published by a news outlet that was out to defame ND and Manti. They made egregious errors in reporting and never retracted them. Also, Manti did nothing illegal/illicit. Big difference.
