It's preseason, and this is probably the 2's...but Golden may have fucked up.

We had a good thing, you stupid son of a bitch! We had Freeman. We had the facilities. We had everything we needed, and it all ran like clockwork. You could've shut your mouth, run cover zero and made as much money as you ever needed. It was perfect. But, no, you just had to blow it up. You and your pride and your ego! You just had to be the man. If you'd done your job, known your place, we'd all be fine right now.

I hope he makes the most of his NFL opportunity. Bengals have a lot on the line this season and it hinges on their defense making massive improvements.

They've played one preseason game. Pump the breaks a little bit, put away the jump to conclusions mat. It's going to be ok.

Bengals D put it on the offense in scrimmage work today.

Burrow threw a TD on their first possession, but was only 4/12 after that. The defense also had 4+ “sacks,” including one by Howard Cross (!)

May have been an off day for the offense… or may be Golden settling in and figuring some things out after seeing his defense on film for the first time.

Can’t imagine there’s any evidence of Golden making critical adjustments to his unit after just a bit of time to study…

It is being speculated right now, but obviously this would be the scenario where Bengals absolutely fall apart and they feel it's time for a change and so they axe Zac Taylor and unfortunately, Al exits the franchise with him. But that's likely a Dec or January move obviously but could come in handy if Ash is axed by then...
