We were locked into the Pinstripe no matter what. It was BCS or Pinstripe from the get go wasn't it?

This is correct.

Honestly, I'll take 9-4 with all the shit we had to deal with. Not quite sure how we brought such an A+ defensive effort against USC and ASU, but it was awesome. And we caught MSU at the right time.

We're already 25 in the AP Poll I think. Coaches is garbage because at the end of year BCS race everyone goes political for their own conference.

You're right.

Won't jump much with this win, but probably be 22-24 in both polls...?

Just got back. Was worried I really was cursed until Folston pushed through. Fun game, great venue. I'd say it was 70/30 Irish fans. Rutgers colors stand out more but other than their sideline it was mostly ND fans.

That being said, their fans were much louder than ours until the end of the game. We rarely made any effort to make any noise on defense. Kind of embarrassing.

Our band was really good though. They reenacted the advent of the forward pass by Knute by forming two players and throwing a football across the field. Was really cool.

They did the same thing BYU weekend. I saw both but was hoping for a new show.

All in all we had a good season with the cards we were dealt. Emotions aside I'm happy with this season. I hope that with EG back our D will still be in good shape to make a run with our daunting schedule and we have to beat scUM next year!

Kid's first live ND game, so will be a good memory regardless - but:

- I'm sure it's been said before but Rees threw some legitimately terrible balls; didn't leave a great final impression
- if the Rutgers qb makes some very simple throws ND probably loses the game
- the folks at Yankee Stadium brought their c-team to the concessions stands - just brutal

My attempt at panoramic from my seats, had one helluva view. Great vantage point.

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!

Ya mean, it's not the blue hair ladies, the rich old white men in the gold seats, the priests and the nuns, and the Indiana Excise Police that make ND Stadium sound like a morgue?

Say it ain't so!

Apparently Chris Fowler was so disgusted with the game that he tried to off himself at halftime by choking.

Agree with you 100 percent. I think the reason was their fans were all current students and alums. While the majority of the Notre Dame fans were subway alums.

AAC to withhold Rutgers' payment for Pinstripe Bowl - CBSSports.com

By Fornelli

AAC is hanging on to the $1.5 million from the bowl as an asset due the conference under the $10 million lawsuit AAC and RU have over the move to the BIG.

Per the NJ papers, the bowl payout is not scheduled to made by the conference until the spring and the ACC is "threatening to withhold the payout as the two sides try to reach a legal settlement over Rutgers exit fee." However what amazed me a little is that the Star Ledger reported that even with the $1.5M payout, Rutgers would only net approximately $22K on the bowl game.

the crossing patten to CJ Prosise early on got my excited that we were gonna see something different but then it settled down to the same old stuff after that which was quite depressing. You can practically predict on every Redzone passing play its going to be that play where TJ is outside and runs a five and in/post and then the inside slot guy runs a hitch. Then if TJ isn't open the play is totally fubar

Such as? I was distracted most of the game (had company over) and I still haven't re-watched it.

The red zone was still the same, but I saw more intermediate routes. The quick outs (mini bubble screen) wasn't called every third play. Went under center to run the ball and was really effective. Last year and this year, when we went under center we ran the ball much more effectively.

The shotgun outside zone run makes me cringe everytime, i swear Cam has lost his footing on this play about 5 times this season and even if he dosen't he is usually tackled for a decent loss or has to dodge/truck 3 guys just to get back to the LOS
