I'm going to defer to the coaches on this one. I'm terrible at evaluating QB talent. I thought Golson was bringing a natty. I thought Barnett would be the savior before he defected, I thought Jerk(ovec) would be a baller before he defected, I thought Buchner was a can't miss stud before he defected.

I'm batting .000 and it's the only position that I'm consistently wrong about. Which means I'd last 2 years a a CFB coach before getting canned because I'd suck at filling the most important position. Hope Gino and staff have a much better eye for this.

Clemson's 5-star evals have stunk the last 4 years.
Alabama needs Buchner because its QB is a mess.
UGA won 2 with a walk-on.
OSU let Joe Burrow transfer.

Not likely, but I think this is the year to take a HIGH UPSIDE guy who may take a while to mature. I have a feeling (fingers crossed) that CJ is the real deal and will be QB 1 for 2-3 yrs.

This is Brady Quinn syndrome, wrong place at the wrong time (Browns, and any QB under our last regime). I have the same problem. I’m hoping a legitimate QB Coach changes our future in this department.

I would hope Angeli is given a chance next year, he will be a junior, and will have the most experience in the program. Any PT he can get this year he needs to get in the game and learning behind Hartman is a benefit.

I am with all of you- take 2 QBs for 2025, I wasn't all that impressed with the game I watched with Deuce.

Ooh, didn’t realize Deuce was visiting Auburn. Yeah he’s not coming here. He seems to want to stay close to home. Better to know that now.

So yeah Bachmeier seems fine, but I wouldn’t mind looking around a little more. This class doesn’t seem as deep as last years though. I wonder if we should go back at that kid from Zinter’s HS in Mass. who blew up and very quickly committed to Clemson. He has an arm, that one.

Love that idea. Especially if we come strutting outta death valley with another head for the King of feckin Dublin's revenge tour.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I think the kid was a little disappointed after Freeman started talking to Loghan. I think he was expecting more.
