He has the potential to be a great OT. I think he's like 6'7 or 6'8. Major sleeper Georgia landed, that many thought would go to PSU.

Young also has the potential to be a great one
For 391 lbs he actually displayed really good footwork in that rep. Most guys that big have a tendency to just reach and lean, but he was mostly able to move and keep his frame inside of Bryce’s.

There are four guys who legitimately could/should be five stars in this class:
-Bryce Young
-Carr
-Cam Williams
-KVA

Bryce Young is the one that is the most "sure thing" in my book, but all of them have clearly demonstrated that they are Top 5 prospects at their respective positions. The rankings are kinda ludicrous this year.

one national pundit had Bryce as a top performer for day 1, specifically citing his arsenal of pass rushing moves.

National pundit number 2 said Bryce was good day 1, but specifically cited that he needs to work on his pass rush moves and all he can do is bull rush. I’ll let you guess who #2 is

MR. MOTOR: TOP247 4-STAR DL BRYCE YOUNG - NOTRE DAME

Some years, we see dynamic personalities who use their outgoing, sometimes overzealous field demeanors to add an edge to their game – Bai Jobe was a perfect example a year ago. But in Bryce Young’s case, we saw a quiet storm, a relentless jumbo edge defender who repeatedly terrorized opponents with backside pursuit and chase-down athleticism. He’s never out of the play, and his 6-foot-5+ and 245-pound frame gives him immense long-term upside to accompany the burgeoning speed-to-power ability he already flashes. The physical tools and a rare football pedigree as the son of a Pro Football Hall of Famer further enhance Young’s profile as one of the top defensive line prospects in the cycle. – Brooks

"A quiet storm, a relentless jumbo edge defender who repeatedly terrorized opponents..." man I can't wait to see how his career plays out here.

I know he's a legacy--but still kudos to the staff for hanging onto him

Usually plans for early identification of dline prospects who eventually blow up into elite players usually hasn't end well for us thru the years

I can vividly remember that IrishTorpedo guy crapping on this because he Young was a bum three-star, all the while wholeheartedly trying to dismantle Freeman's recruiting as average.

Now, Young is a five-star and Torpedo is off chasing school children away from playgrounds in some sort of clown outfit.

Young is this year's Keon Keeley. Just an insane talent that went unrecognized.

Frankly, I like him a bit more than Keeley. I also think ND isn't going to try and shoehorn him at OLB and let him play his natural position of big end.

He weighed in at 6'7 241, so he has A LOT of room to grow.

I agree that he’s this year’s Keeley, and apparently the sites think Young is better.

When I saw his height/weight after he was first offered, Keeley immediately came to mind for me. Alabama’s 3-4 defense requires a huge DL, like 300+. Steelers run the same style 3-4.

Wow, I did not know he measured in at 6’7”. A lot to work with there.

I'm happy about the five star but it's weird to still be talking rankings in 24 when everyone is signed and I'm already onto 25. The new recruiting calendar has everything all screwed up lol.
