He hasn’t visited in months and is two hours away. Quit listening to what they say. Follow the actions. It isn’t difficult.
It isn’t difficult. Maybe you just don’t know what’s actually going on.
Maybe I am following his actions.
Do you know his actions?

He wanted to commit earlier this year & take visits still.
ND told him no.
So he didn’t commit.
He took all his visits.
Never committed anywhere.
Other teams, like Miami & UGA, are now saying they think he stays close to home.
He is OVing ND in September.
And now it looks like he will visit ND in July for the BBQ.

Who has reported he is absolutely visiting in either September or July?

He lives so close. Most guys interested in ND made multiple visits. He’s about 90 minutes away. I don’t understand. Sure seems odd.

He has visited multiple times. Just not recently, because every time he's had the opportunity to, there is scheduling conflict because he plays basketball or there's been awful weather (or both).

He already knows ND very well and comes from a similar HS. But he hadn't seen a lot of the other schools he wanted to visit, even if he committed back in January.

He has total visits to ND. Since July of 22 he had 1 visit to ND. OSU, Michigan and Miami have had 2 each. All of those schools are much further away.

In a the last year, if he really wanted, he could have found a day or 2 to visit.

Sometimes playing connect the dots is too hard for some

Smfh.

He already knew everything he needed to know about ND. And everything lined up with him going to visit those schools, later in the year, after basketball season ended.

With Scott + Lambert, you’d have 3 borderline 5 stars at 3/4 most important positions (missing edge). Tough to not be excited ab a class like that.

ND doesn’t have a 5 Star DE, but I think they have two top 100 DEs in Thomas & Mullins.
It kind of reminds me of Foskey. Not a 5 Star, was only a top 150 recruit, but left as ND’s all time sack leader & top 40 NFL draft pick.

Mullins is very underrated. I don't know why he hasn't risen up the rankings. He's a 4* recruit, IMO.

Only way this is happening is if Washington is tired of playing his games.

Brian Smith is a scout who covers South Florida recruits (He's been on a few IB shows talking recruiting with Driskell) just put out a video discussing Miami's recruits. He said that DL is a big concern for Miami and specifically said "Justin Scott isn't coming". Shaun Davis is also saying Michigan vs ND now. Michigan already has like 5 or 6 DL commits (not including Jacob Smith), so ND is in a favorable position.

We were working pretty hard on him back in January when like the whole staff was going to his basketball games. I guess things changed after we declined his (conditional/preliminary) commitment?

They’re basically useless.
Shaun was pretty tight with the STL kids in the 2023 cycle. I remember when people were freaking out that LSU and even Ohio State were going to get Christian Gray and Shaun laughed it off and said he was all Irish.

I agree with you. 100%. However:

I think we can all come to the conclusion that regardless of how it shakes out come December and February, there are going to be certain people on this board as well as throughout this program's fan base that are going to be pissed off with the outcome regardless of the overall context that leads to the eventual outcome. It will all about who they DIDN'T sign, the speed bumps that got hit along the way and any shortcomings by individual coaches and the collective staff. There is way too much stock being put into these websites, their rankings and their employees. They control the narrative.

Way too many people ignore nuance these days and go for absolutes, be it with college football recruiting or topics that are far more important and have greater significance in everyday life.
