This ND staff seems to be overconfident on recruitments. I seem to remember a lot of reports where ND feels really good about a kid & they were wrong.
I don’t think you’re wrong, but “the Gug feels confident” became a meme before this staff took over. It’s been an issue for a long time.

Ryan Roberts, on their show currently, is confident in ND. He have a confidence pick of an 8.

He also gave an 8.5 for Lambert.
And a 7 for Nelson (7 to 8).
Driskell said 6 for Nelson.
This is good to hear and encouraging. Landing Vialamu-Asu, Nelson, and Lambert in this class would be huge. Yes want to add Shaw in also. Let's go!

I really hope they don't cool off on Bradley Shaw.
Driskell just said that if Shaw wanted to commit today that his sources told him ND would take him & still go after KVA.
But he wasn’t sure if KVA committed if ND would still take Shaw afterwards.

You were following the Rushing thread and his dad's one-on-one meeting with Freeman?

Rivals, 247 and on3 are part of the Corporate media and said group have a symbiotic relationship the University system so it shouldn't come as a surprise. It's access media, plain and simple.

It’s the difference between journalism and enthusiast media. They’re both reporters, but enthusiast media - by its nature - has a much more symbiotic relationship with the subjects it covers.

When I was a reporter, I didn’t particularly care if the mayor didn’t like what I wrote. I didn’t need him to get me the information I needed. I don’t think people on the ND beat are going to get the inside on how a recruiting visit went unless they’re hiding in the bushes like Driskell, or they get what the staff wants them to get.

I’ll give it a 20% chance he comes here. 30% chance he goes to USC and 50% chance he goes to OSU

Just curious, why do you give those percentages?

Going into OVs it was universally excepted, even by USC sites, that he wasn’t going to USC, they were just given an OV out of respect, he wants to leave home & forge his own path. That it was an OSU/ND battle.

He went to USC, had fun with all his friends, and the high wore off.
Yesterday the USC site reported that it’s still an OSU/ND battle.

The ND sites all reported that ND took a good lead after the OV (thus taking out USC), & would need to hold off OSU this week.

That’s what has been universally reported by the sites.

He got those percentages from the internal pessimist in himself

I go off of what the player themselves is showing. Keon Kelly was liking nothing but Bama stuff and flipped there. We have seen this horse and Pony before. He’s from the West coast and has ties to USC even with Juju Smith a lot of people thought he would end up here but stayed at USC. I just think Ohio State has the upper hand with the last visit and they are more willing to pay guys upfront compared to us.

That’s not what happened with Keon.
He didn’t not have Bama stuff all over.
He, unlike Bowen, actually decommitted, then started his process over, took visits & then put Bama stuff up. Huge difference.

And if we are listing players, how long do you have? I can list the thousands of players who the sites of that team said they aren’t going there & they didn’t.
USC’s actual site said after speaking to Asa & their sources at USC, it’s an OSU/ND battle.
ND & OSU sites say it’s an OSU/ND battle.
But you think USC is above ND because Keon Keeley.
