Not everyone has homer glasses on. There have been a few faults in recruiting. But, it's recruiting. It's impossible to shoot 100% every time. But, the class is fine.

Long & tall, athletes that can all run. Some more polished than others. Some early contributors, and some in two to three years. That is how the real world of recruiting works.

Did anybody read 247’s update on KVA?

I don’t subscribe there, but heard things are not looking as good for ND as they once were. Sounds like OSU is trending up.

This is one Freeman has to win.

Top LB on the board, very religious kid, doesn’t talk NIL, willing to leave west coast.

Freeman was a LB. Was a LB coach. Was a DC. Now a HC. He has to beat a GA (James Laurinitas) for KVA, especially when Al Washington was the coach recruiting him at OSU originally.

Matt Freeman had said multiple times that he believes OSU leads but that ND is at worst running second

KVA really only has a top 2, ND & OSU, so of course ND us at worst 2nd.
KVA release a top 3, USC being the third, but no one at USC feels they are an option.

When Larunitas left, the other ND coaches stopped pushing for Pierce. They weren’t super high on him.
And Bowen did so well in spring they are talking he will probably get playing time as a true freshman.

There are over 500 churches listed in the Columbus, Ohio area. KVA can be religious there if he wants to. I'd assume. The sell job here has to be something grander when you consider who they're up against strictly from a football standpoint.

If there is a lack of effort from Freeman, that's one thing, otherwise they have to come up with some kind of bigger picture message that resonates with him. I don't really know what that is other than the usual.

That’s my point. Matt Freeman has made it clear that OSU is going to be tough to beat. ND is in the race but running second at worst, ahead of USC

I suppose my question to you would then be What more can Freeman and Golden be doing then? Genuinely asking because I honestly don't know anymore what should be expected of this staff when it comes to recruiting. The situation being what it currently is with regards to the parameters they are required to recruit within at Notre Dame, what more can they do with this particular player?

It feels more and more on this board like every other guy is a "must get" or the words "has to land" get thrown around despite the success rate in doing so. What the hell are they doing wrong from your perspective, because right now the non football off the field narrative has become exhausting.

those being the reasons he desires to attend ND and the key factors in where he chooses arent necessarily the same thing though, unfortunately most instances. (not that you arent aware)

I would much rather a recruit say ND's football team, coach, etc. are the reasons they desire to attend ND to play football.

I do…. If Bowen wants to be an nfl or dominant college lb I don’t see the two sport thing being the path

Ryan Roberts said ND did everything they possibly could & definitely took the lead. But will need to hold off OSU next week. The USC trip was glitz & glamour, the ND trip as building bonds & strengthening relationships & allowing his family the chance to experience ND. Ryan feels ND won the mom over which is very important to Asa.

Not buying it look at the kids Twitter he was liking nothing but USC stuff on his ND trip. There hasn’t been a single ND like

Carnell Tate liked everything ND on Twitter & would go a week posting nothing but ND stuff, & he was never going to go to ND.
Kids & Twitter are not something to get wrapped up in.
