Still the best receiver on the field. We need to find ways to get him the ball more next year. It should be Carr at QB, Greathouse at WR1, Love at TB or Williams when he's not in, Raridon at TE, Faison in the Slot, and I don't know who goes in at the other WR position. Harrison? Gotta get Greathouse more receptions though.

Harrison is out of eligibility. It'll be Fields.

You'll have Will Pauling to round out the rotation, likely with one or two of this years freshman class, and possible graduate player in Thomas or Colzie (or both).

Greathouse is a stud. Stinks it took until game 15 and game 16 for the offensive to figure that out. For the first time in a long time I feel like the WR room is in a good place for 2025. Greathouse and Faison can be stars. Add in the two transfers along with the 1st year players like Williams, Gilbert, Saldate the room is in a good place. Others like KK Smith and the incoming freshman can add some depth.

Obviously Greathouse was excellent tonight and against Penn State but I still feel well down about the WRs for next year and beyond in all honest.

Yup. I don't think we're going to be able to bring in the kind of talent we need /w NIL. I don't think Mitchell and Collins were the answer, but then again part of that could have been Riley being up and down with the passing game. We need to get away from these QBs that aren't dynamic strong passers, we need to start Carr and make it attractive for WRs to play here.

I am thinking he will be about Collins level. Probably bad hands. I am just not going to get my hopes up about that WR room. Its been the better part of a decade below good.
I'm not getting my hopes us, either. People thought Kris Mitchell and Beaux Collins would make big impacts this year and they didn't. I hope he has a good year and turns into an NFL player, but I'll need to see if before I start believing.

One thing about Greathouse is it seems like he needs to be 100% to be playing well. If he is 90% (as in recovering from an injury) he seems to slip to about Lenzy level. He has to stay 100% fit.

I hope that was a breakout game last night. That game could ultimately be a marker for the next two years and we'll look back on it.

I think Greathouse and Faison have big off seasons and become a bigger part of the offense next season.

The hard thing for Faison will be always missing spring ball, but Greathouse can and I believe will emerge as a legit number one receiver.

Admittedly I wasn’t on IE but I don’t remember an off-season hype train of Mitchell and Collins. Mitchell we thought had speed to stretch vertically which proved wrong but most knew he came from FIU and had like no route tree. Collins was not a sure fire starter even at Clemson.

The hype I remember was actually with Greathouse and then getting back Evans

People are comparing Collins and Fields??
Have you guys watched these two guys before?
And Mitchell was a mid major guy where the hope was he'd translate (same for Harrison)

And frankly, maybe Mitchell and Harrison would have hit better with a more traditional passing QB with vertical deep threat ability.

Back to Greathouse. I still do not understand the lack of usage and targets this year. I know a lot of reporters said he has been getting home and working hard etc. So, I do not think it is for lack of focus or execution. It simply must be Denbrock and/or Leonard - which is crazy to me because as we all see now - Greathouse has the best talent on the roster and has a knack for getting open on scrambles which Leonard does.

The two should have been a match made in heaven imo.

Problem with relying on Greathouse/Faison as two of your top three is that both make their best plays from the slot.

Unless Denbrock unleashes a primarily 4-wide offense, which would be silly with Love and the OL returning to support a new starter at QB, you're gonna be hoping that Greathouse gets a lot more comfortable on the outside. I think he can... but the reality is that he's at his best working from the inside, wether it's a slot fade to get space and force the DB onto his back/inside hip, or if it's a mid-level crosser to accomplish the same thing.

His ball skills and ability to break the first tackle attempt should translate to being the outside receiver on Faison's side, and his feel for the slot fade can translate to running the skinnier outside fade, I think.

Thinking way too far ahead, and hoping for a lot from a glorified practice... but it would be cool to see Fields and Greathouse on the same squad in the B&G game to see how they're lined up (I assume Faison will be busy with lacrosse, so Pauling is probably your slot receiver in this alignment).

What he doesn't have in explosion or pure speed, he makes up for in beautiful routes.

He and Faison must be the focal points of next year's passing attack. Only hope that Malachi Fields can be a better version of Beaux Collins.
They saw Fields up close during the virginia game. Looked Like a better version of Collins then while he went 4 for 81 with collandrea as his qb.

I knew we had a dude after his first spring game on campus. The only reason he isn't a national name is our lack of passing attempts this year. Once Denbrook gets his offense fully in place, he's going to put up numbers.
Been thinking that when he wore #19. I hate when they change numbers. He looked a lot bigger with a 19 on his back. He was the BG game MVP imo.

My worry with Faison is I don’t know how sustainable it is to do what he’s trying to do. He jumps into lacrosse now and potentially plays till Memorial Day, then it’s back to football in 2 months
He’s a young dude I wouldn’t worry about it. Bowen jumps in baseball and he’ll be fine too.
