He's going to be a year 1 contributor, he just seems so polished and possessive. He wants the damn ball, he's going to do what he needs to get the damn ball.
His blocking is like Claypool or his entire game?i watched the whole of the game (it was streamed live by local Austin Tv station). Dude was blocking guys out of the end zone on run plays to the opposite side. He's so like Claypool it's uncanny

Yup. On at least one of the Longhorn sites they talk about continuing to recruit Greathouse, they're not giving up on a Texas kid, they really want him. I hope he's as solid as Singer says.Per Singer, Greathouse initially planned on taking an unofficial to the Texas/Alabama game, but never made the trip. Seemed like it was just a local product taking in a big game at the local school.
Singer reaffirms, through sources close to the recruitment, that Greathouse is rock solid in his commitment. States Texas won't let up until the end.

I don't know how the staff is going to keep any of our WR recruits or guys like Styles around with the current QB's on the roster, if they plan on having Buchner as their QB next year it will be the same thing. We need a big arm QB not another RB or a guy who can barely throw.
Unfortunately I believe it was prior to SeptemberAnyone remember the date when Jack Coan transferred.
It would be great to have a transfer locked in by signing day.
I'd bet the house on next year's starting QB being a grad transfer. Cade McNamara, Max Duggan, Hudson Card, etc.I don't know how the staff is going to keep any of our WR recruits or guys like Styles around with the current QB's on the roster, if they plan on having Buchner as their QB next year it will be the same thing. Cade McNamara almost makes too much sense so I'm sure it won't happen.
Card is interesting because I'm not certain he'll be a grad transfer. He was in the class of 2020 and enrolled in January, but I'm not sure if COVID screwed up the end of the spring semester and summer classes. Normally, a January enrollee have a good chance of getting their degree by their 3rd fall or by the spring.Cade McNamara is definitely the easy one. I think Duggan and Card both have potential to be better. There is a world where they both play this year decent and still transfer. Card being worse than Ewers is no shame, I just would hope he actually plays well because he didn’t in 2021. Duggan I think is less likely. Morris is a better fit for TCU but if Duggan continues to play well it’d think he just runs with the job.
Duggan & McNamara together would be like taking a veteran Buchner and better Pyne and letting them battle it out.
Thing is he's going to go somewhere that he can definitely start not compete. If he transfers here it'll be to compete with Buchner, so he'll be in the exact same situation he's currently in. I see him transferring out west to a Mountain West Conference team where he can come in and be the dude right away.Cade McNamara almost makes too much sense so I'm sure it won't happen.

Interesting, I'll have to try and see him a bit this fall. I remember the name from the trail but haven't followed him since.Garrett Schrader at Syracuse. Big, tall, athletic, mobile - can run the RPO.
I don't think Babers will last if Cuse goes 6-6. They are undefeated right now, but start their conference schedule starts soon, and they play alot of big boys.

Posted it in the Rees thread....should bring Robert Anae (Syracuse's OC) with him too. Guy had UVA and Brennan Armstrong rolling on offense last year, and has Syracuse's offense operating at a high level too.Garrett Schrader at Syracuse. Big, tall, athletic, mobile - can run the RPO.

“On the same token, we don't expect the Longhorns to make a serious run at Notre Dame commit Jaden Greathouse as of now.”
Sounds familiarSounds like Hale was all Texas until Alabama gave him some serious dough.
Saban tried to warn people that he was going to do this.Sounds familiar
