I didn't hear anything about him "going to the team" with it, and doubt he would do that. I do believe that Freeman was firm with him though about how he had conducted himself and told him Notre Dame might not be the best fit for him.

He played quite a bit in the start of his career, but then the injuries happened and he hardly played his final three seasons.
