Again, why the hell aren't our rich alumni and boosters dropping bags for recruits? I don't like it, but since pretty much every prominent program is doing so, why not? It's not like the coaching staff and administration would be able to stop it.
Does ND have rich alum like OU or a Phil Knight?

There’s a 5 next to Charles Jagusah’s name. Just saying. Carry on playing your one hit though
Yep that will win a CFP game. Unless Charles learns to catch or throw the rock. We are where we are. Carry on your optimism Dale.

You can be pessimistic and still make salient points. So far the whole argument lacks a serious understanding of virtually everthing

Dude, give me a break. Have you even thought this through.

The reason they had to wait 3 years is because there was no NIL until then.
No... They are going to places with up front guaranteed Money. Not happening at ND. Neither are 5 stars signing on the dotted line.
Pretty cut and dry clear connection

Read this thread. It’s me bitching about Bowen. Don’t see any optimism there. I pointed literally only a fact. But rock out dude, play that one hit you came to play. Same crowd will love it too.

Why aren't 5 stars buying into your Kyle Hamilton example then? Why did all of ours defect when ones committed?

Oh that's right.... back to NIL.

TBF, I barely understand the disagreement here. Seems like both sides agreeing that ND can’t compete for high leverage players due to the upfront money. But one side thinks it’s never changing and the other believes the market will be more dynamic over time.

Are you bitching about Bowen because he's doing the smart thing taking a guaranteed large lump sum of Cash or about how the f.u.n.d model absolutely is not and will not work for 5 star recruits. Yep and I'm here with my receipts about how we could see where ND and the f.u.n.d. would fall way short. What's your solution to get ND to sign 5 stars?

Moore,.Keeley,Bowen are the Names on my receipt

ND fans just need to start a rogue collective. I’ve joked but I’m serious. University approval really doesn’t matter and the athletes don’t have to show them any receipts
Wouldn’t be surprised if one pops up soon tbh. Alumni these days have been pretty tapped into recruiting and seeing this might open some eyes.

The powerball in my state was 1.9 billion last month. If only I could've won that. I'd take no prisoners and buy the best class for ND every year.

Oregon dropped the bag and OU is willing to match
Don’t be surprised if A&M swoops in the last second and doubles it. Hicks was a silent commit to OU for a week prior to the public announcement and A$M tripled the NIL OU offered on the morning of the announcement

Not sure the graphics department can handle a deepfake with the GF, Arnold, Dan Lanning, and Jimbo

Not one dumb enough to give money to 17 year olds with limited ROI
For the University there is absolutely a ROI.
More 5 stars= More wins= Mo money,Mo money, Mo money.
Football program alone makes 54-62 Million a year with a horrendous TV contract. Let's give back 5-10 percent a year to NIL to the players that produce demand and move the needle on the product.
Wonder how much more ND makes a year where they won a championship. Has to be worth 10-20 million more in a year. Just spit balling

Pay to find out cheapskate
Piracy is a crime asshat
You sure have strong feelings about Driskell's bottom line.

To be clear, he has a copyright in anything he writes, which can't be reproduced word-for-word without his permission. But his opinions, and recruiting news in general, are completely unprotected, and can be paraphrased by others anywhere on the web with impunity.

anybody else see the Brady Quinn vs Shannon on twitter? Seems Fund might be having people come to them with On3 inflated evaluations and Brady is sick of it.

Here's a plan for you:
  • Make a billion dollars and fund ND's NIL yourself; or
  • Make a presentation to Swarbrick and the BoF as to why throwing guaranteed millions at high school boys is a can't-lose business proposition.
Once you've accomplished either of those things, you can come back here and rub all our faces in it. Until then, kindly STFU and spare us from your garbage rants.
