I hate the whole "verbal" commitment thing. I get that it's necessary so coaches have an idea of what roster spots they need to fill. But, it means nothing. You are not committed until you sign. I sometimes fall prey to getting too excited over a verbal. But, I try as much as possible to remind myself that it means nothing and therefore don't really get too up/down until the signing period is over and the dust settles.
