Reading the OU boards, it sounds like they have a similar no visits policy for commits. Not sure if that’s just officials or what. Their Jimmies are definitely rustled at least.

They don’t have the you-know-whats to pull the scholarship of a five-star QB commit when he knows his value and what their QB room looks like.

What are they gonna do? Tell him to get lost because they’re riding with General Booty?

I'm not buying that he ends up visiting let alone flips. CJ Carr will be the QB in the 2023 class.

I'd love to be wrong, though. Other than Dante he's my favorite QB in the 2023 class based on his tape.

I hope this is the case. Would rather have Carr early than potentially scare him off when he's 100% in right now. I wouldn't turn down another 5 star prospect, but I would at least want to make sure Carr is cool with it. Maybe this move pushes him to declare early after all?

Carr already knows that they are doing after a QB for this cycle. After he committed, Novosad, Minchey, and whoever else Rees contacted, where all being targeted as the guy for this class.

Carr isn't afraid of competition. Several Talking Heads have eluded to this, and Carr knew ND was trying to keep Moore, too.

This makes so much more sense. Another committed QB was going to visit for the Stanford game this weekend, but it leaking a little early helped squash that visit.

Somehow Driskell knew to keep it on the DL, but Freeman & Loy did not? I’m positive Loy and Freeman are in better standing with the ND .staff than he is

Probably Tommy boy so that fans will believe he was oh so close to potentially getting a top-tier QB to visit if it weren't for a pesky leak and cut him some slack when he strikes out on current 2023 QB's and has to get CJ to reclassify.
