What IrishDrunk is complaining about with the Carr's is literally what Freeman and Rees did with the Moore's and the Moore's fucked them. They went all in and canceled '23 QB recruiting for Dante. Dante committed and came up with a plan to take visits and announce that commitment later. Then balked at the plan and came up with 1 or 2 other variations of that plan. Putting the staff in an impossible spot.

On the other hand. CJ Carr and his family were given the same opportunity by Freeman and Rees. They jumped at the opportunity and never looked back. Recruiting his butt off for the program in the mean time and literally helping to land multiple 4 star players in the process.

One is the future QB on our football team and one will be playing in Big 12. We got our guy.

ACTUALLY, my favorite item from Skyline is a chilito (chili and cheese inside a soft tortilla, then steamed), but with spaghetti and sour cream added.

It's like a three-way inside a tortilla, but with the bonus of the sour cream changing it up.

I allow this because Skyline chili is not actually chili... it's modified Greek spaghetti sauce.

Anyone from the Twin Cities or elsewhere familiar with Zantigo? They specialized in Chilitos. I’m a big fan, though they are always a risk gastrointestinal-ly.

Dante's recruiting shouldn't stop tomorrow. This is a major egg on Rees. He needs to figure out where Carr is going to land (2023 or 2024) and get another QB in accordingly before he bolts to NFL.

What you don’t get is they did the same thing for Dante. They sold the 2023 QB class down the River for Dante, though unlike the Carr’s who made good on their commitment, the Moore’s are a bunch of dishonest turds.

There’s plenty to criticize Rees for. I don’t think he handled the 2022 QB class particularly well, and assuming they either strike out in 2023 or end up with a vastly inferior QB who can’t play because he went all in on Dante, that is absolutely a horrendous look for him. You can also point out his play-calling in the 2nd half against Oklahoma State.

But I don’t think he sold Dante down the river. In fact, quite the opposite. If anything, this should be a lesson going forward in that you don’t go all-in in 1 QB when you’re in good/decent position with other QB who are also highly ranked.

Agreed on all parts. Rees definitely deserves some flak here, but Dante got scared off by another 5 star QB after getting numerous chances to commit (or not following through on his silent commitment). Shit, I could see Rees using this same story going forward when he's recruiting other 5 star QBs. "Hey kid, you're our top target, but we can't leave the program in a bad place if you find a better fit."

Agree completely. Rees and MF dropped the ball for '23 and I am not huge on the '22 effort by Rees. Dante's ass was kissed harder than any recruit in ND history. It was really quite pathetic to be honest. I hope they do not do this again. He needs a better strategy. ND fans and Rees are extremely lucky CJ Carr exists and committed when he did, or we might not have a great '22, no great '23, and nobody in mind for '24. Can you imagine what we'd be saying about Rees if CJ wasn't committed?
