Okay so I’ll add my two cents for the first time,… if this is true our staff fucked up. Reading their actions with him and other QB prospects and even Freeman’s barely veiled comment about QBs last week then it’s pretty obvious they think he is in the bag. Again, IF the above is true he’s not and the staff misplayed this. Even if they land Moore in the long wrong.

I think both things can be true.

1. The Moore’s gave strong assurances, silent commit, etc to Freeman and staff that entailed a fairly reasonable public commitment timeframe. Heck, Loy said that the staff expected an April commitment from what the Moore’s were telling them. 2. The Moore’s have now changed so much of what they promised Freeman/Rees and Freeman/Rees have been put in such a difficult spot, there isn’t much else to do.

Which is why, I said from the beginning they should never get into this situation. Always recruit more than one. Always. They gave up any and all leverage when they cancelled Vizzina’s visit. But, we’ll see. If they land Moore, a little extra drama doesn’t matter, I guess.

I really don't see what everyone is getting all out of shape about. If you want a kid like Dante, this is how you have to recruit him. You have to go all in.

I think the biggest issue people are having is that he says what's on his mind, and his standpoint is when he commits, he doesn't want to waver.

So he tells people sometimes what he's thinking, ex. "Maybe I should see where teams are at when they get rolling" or "Maybe I should really give X team a visit"...

I think what we're hearing is just a kid that's willing to talk about how he feels about truly solidifying.

I'm not worried. I think he's Irish and he's being honest. If not? There's no other way to get a big time QB like him. I dont want the program to settle. I want them to swing hard. If ND wants to win a championship, it's not gonna be with the 3rd or 4th QB on their board. We want the #1.


(And from what it's worth from a guy with no inside info, I'd be willing to bet a pretty big stack he ends up ours.)
