BumpI am starting to think part of ND's NIL deal to Dante is $20 per comment on his Irish Envy thread.

It’s almost like the people who are furiously waving the red flags have seen this happen repeatedly in high- (and sometimes low-) profile ND recruitments and are speaking from experience.First of all, great work in this thread. Many laughs to start the day with.
I slept on this as I didn't just want to drop the debbie downer post as soon as I posted the article but I’m going to go ahead and say it. IF we are to take Mr. Moore at his word, (which is all we can really do at this point) then this isn't about building hype for announcement. He just doesn’t want the party to stop. That's the oldest red flag in the crootin book.
You simply cannot have your entire QB strategy rest on this recruitment if we are to take Mr. Moore at his word. He is constantly pushing the envelope further and further from what the consensus is. Which, very likely, means what they say publicly is different than what they say privately. Also, a red flag.
We already know the staff was offsides by this very thing in April and now we're talking about taking visits after a commitment. There is a zero percent chance, IMO, that back in March when they dropped Vizzina that a Moore commitment with in-season visits was communicated to Freeman and Company. No chance Freeman is making that move.
He'll commit in June and this post will age very poorly. I hope that to be the case, lol.
The only guy with a driver in MSP is Gordon Bombay in The Mighty Ducks after Gordon gets a DUI.We must be talking about a different Koon, unless this one you are referring to has his driver going to local high schools to check out physiques...
I'm sure you know more about this recruitment than Marcus Freeman and Tommy Rees do.It’s almost like the people who are furiously waving the red flags have seen this happen repeatedly in high- (and sometimes low-) profile ND recruitments and are speaking from experience.
When Tommy did this and struck out in 2021 (Will Shipley) and 2022 (Amorion Walker and CJ Williams) and is following the same playbook in 2023, that's a pattern and something that's justifiably worth pointing out. Feel free to disagree, but it's whack to dismiss concern and criticism *on a fan message board* because people don't see it the same way as you.I'm sure you know more about this recruitment than Marcus Freeman and Tommy Rees do.
hes visiting TAMUI cannot process this thread, I've tried. . . So any real news happening?
Summation anyone?
And you know what happened when ND missed on Shipley? They signed 2 really good RB prospects who are now a part of the strength of the football team. And I have no clue what you're on about lol, Walker and Williams committed, ND's other WR targets committed elsewhere, then they decommitted. ND recruited 4 QBs this cycle, 2 committed elsewhere early (Vizzina/Arnold), 1 is extremely unpolished but a freak athlete and not a take yet (Johnson), and the other is Moore, their number 1 guy. If you wanna tell me Pyne shouldn't have been a take? Or that they should've kept looking at QBs in 2020? Fine. When Tommy did this and struck out in 2021 (Will Shipley) and 2022 (Amorion Walker and CJ Williams) and is following the same playbook in 2023, that's a pattern and something that's justifiably worth pointing out. The rumor is we have nothing to worry about because was a silent commit a while ago but still visiting other places known to have deep pockets. The feeling for the last few months is that he will maybe "commit next month" but probably not going to until well into his next season even then he will probably maybe take visits. He is also rumored to be very low maintenance.I cannot process this thread, I've tried. . . So any real news happening?

Why do I have this feeling he won't commit until his sophomore year in college? The rumor is we have nothing to worry about because was a silent commit a while ago but still visiting other places known to have deep pockets. Sir, that is the Richard Young thread. This thread tends to be Moore about bad puns, recently. For the mexican food.
So what's plan b? Push for Carr/Sayin early commit and grab a depth body from the portal?

Total Old Man Yells at Clouds style, which is common for Mike Frank these days. There is 0% wrong with the way Dante is handling his recruitment and visits, even with ND and their class in mind. He's doing his due diligence, taking visits, providing feedback, etc.I'm not sure if anyone else listened to ISD Power Hour today.
Mike Frank said it's not early enough to panic about Dante.
But then he went on to say that Dante is "taking this too far"..."he's hurting the class"...he's been to "all these places a million times"...and "surely he already knows where to go"
And then he summed it up by saying that it's time for ND in his option to "pull the plug on this" because he "doesn't want to go after kids like this".
Jaime and Matt quickly replied, but you can tell they were biting their tongues to not offend their boss too much lol
This right here. If he knows that Dante is a silent, he shouldn't be tipping his opinion based on that. And if Dante is a silent, let him be a silent. Mike has no business telling Dante how to act. It's really gross to hear from a "professional". For all Mike knows, this could have been blessed/suggested by ND as a way for him to build his brand more or for ND to "lock him" while he does a farewell tour, who knows. This day in age, if ND can get a kid this elite, then the staff is going to have to be flexible with the kids' decisions. Mike Frank would be shopping down the Kelly aisle. The only way Mike's comments mean anything, and have merit in terms of "how does this affect ND?" is if the insiders have all been told that he's a silent commit, which then gives some weight to his "taking this too far/hurting the class/should already know based on plentiful visits."
