In-n-out is not good and fries are trash. Rather have McDonald’s. North eats Ohio has the best fast food burgers in Swensons.

Hot take...In & Out Burger is nothing special. I've lived in Nashville my whole life and this news got a bit of buzz around here. So did Whataburger, but that shit is just orange Sonic.

Yeah and it’s not even gonna open til 2026

In N Out is fine, not spectacular and not terrible. It is overrated but still decent. I live in SoCal and people will fight you for saying that but it is what it is. The fries are “trash” in the sense that they’re actually cut fresh and made on site. I don’t mind them. I don’t go there expecting to be blown away by their fries. 3x3 with grilled onions mustard fried with no lettuce (it gets wilty quickly) and fries covered with spread is a pretty good dinner. Plus you don’t feel as dirty as you would eating McDonald’s or BK.

I’ve never been far enough west to try In-N-Out, but I’ve been to Fort Walton Beach and had Whataburger. I thought it was really good, as far as fast food burgers go. Just a notch below Five Guys. The spicy ketchup is elite, though.

If they would double the size of the shake shack burger and hood the price it would be damn good. I took one sip of their chocolate shake and threw it out though. It’s made with chocolate ice cream! F that! Used to go to in n out 40 years ago when there only 4-5 in southern cal. Not interested in them anymore but know a lot of people who don’t know shit about burgers who love them.

It was a cold shitty mess of a burger.
Oh wow. The running issue I have with whataburger here in DFW is just that it takes a while for fast food because its all being made to order. Never had a cold whataburger unless it was my own doing. That sucks that was your experience because its generally REALLY good for fast food…at least the whataburgers in this area.

I’ll give it another go the next time but our whole order was cold and just not good.

That makes me incredibly sad for you. It was a terribly unfulfilling movie to watch and left me empty. It's almost like hearing someone say, "my favorite movie is Trainspotting" or "Requiem for a Dream"
Don’t feel sad for me. I think this is a ‘you’ problem. The movie is absolutely nothing like Trainspotting or Requiem for a Dream. Not everyone needs a happy ending or some kind of Disneyfied bullshit to recognize outstanding cinema. If you want a truly soul crushing movie, try Babel.

It’s legit terrible imo. Lol. InO, WCastle, whatever other regional place can be called over hyped and it’s fine,…. How whataburger even stays in business at their prices blows my mind.

I had In and Out for the first time when in Cali a few years back. It wasn't bad, but I kinda expected more with all that you hear about it.

Listen, y’all give me shit about Skyline and digestive issues…

But White Castle is the king of destroying your bowels. If you need to clear your system before a diet, you get 5 sliders with cheese, an order of any of their deep-fried sides, and whatever sugary Hi-C flavor sounds best, take it home to eat, and then proceed to wait patiently near your favored bathroom until the storm begins.

It's all good. Keep enjoying your great cinema. My sadness only lasts as long as the first snarky retort, then I'm kind of happy about your preferences.

Well, he feels incredibly sad for me. I wonder how he feels for you? We might have to check on him.
Actually, I had some caffeine this morning and wondered, what about that movie caused me to make the statement I did. It might be a "me" problem but I'm not certain. The people I hung out with when I was younger obsessed over those movies but they were all deadhead, druggies who lacked focus on anything besides immediate gratification. They lacked any sort mental bedrock and so they spiraled into chaos and I've watched that continue to play out in the 20+ years since high school.

Hopefully not everyone drawn to those movies has the same developmental pathways. If you are more of an artist or you can appreciate the genius that I don't see in Kubrick's ACO, then good for you. I won't talk down to it, I just had to work some recurring emotional baggage I suppose.

I’m a huge Kubrick guy,… Clockwork is overrated. It’s a good film but yeah, it’s also like my least fav film of his. I’m a huge InNOut guy as drive thru burgers go. It’s the best DRIVE THRU burger out there. Yet it’s still massively overrated nationally bc all the hype has it compared to steakhouse burgers or some such,…

All these things above are true

I’ve never been accused of having class or knowing what’s actually good…but there’s just something about a Whopper w/ cheese that still does it for me.
