Yea im just not seeing how Tommy knew about it ahead of time... that being said, I think BK did him a solid by saying he wanted him at LSU and was going to pay him 400k more. That to me was an empty threat but designed to help get Tommy paid. He knew ND couldn't let him walk and I just don't see LSU sitting there saying here's your guaranteed contract so hire a relatively unproven guy as your OC at 400k more than what he's getting now.

Damn, that's a good article. It's worth posting the text here, but don't want to take a hit from ISD.

Really seems like Rees and Del had no idea what was coming based on that, and it makes sense. Rees was super apologetic once they found out the truth, and Dom doesn't seem to want the apology from him for obvious reasons. Sounds like Del was the one they first reached out to once they got the news too, and he was the one that let them know "Kelly says it's BS." Really feel for Del and Rees, and obviously the family in that situation.

Man, what an ass to eat all that BBQ like that when you knew you were taking off! Like others have said, must have been some damn good foodI do hope the staff makes this up to him somehow.

The biggest news from that article is that Tobias may not sign during the early signing period.

Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that. Where possibly none of the WR’s sign during the ESP or with ND? Would be a stressful bowl season prep and start to the off-season.

Frankly, there is more reason to stay committed now..

The chances that Kelly was gonna be there for his entire time at ND was substantially lower than the likelihood that Freeman is there the whole time.

We've all been speculating for a few years how much longer Kelly plans on staying. Freeman on the other hand, probably isn't going anywhere anytime soon barring extraordinary failure.

Plus, ND's receiver corps is thin. Great opportunity for a young cat to get on the field early at a top 10 program.

Yep, Mr. Merriweather also mentioned Kelly was looking at his phone quite often during the visit, which seemed a little strange, and finally stepped outside for a 15 minute call.
