Bummer...we may not get to see Jaylen capture the elusive 5th star. Guess he'll just have to earn a Butkus at ND...

Ill keep tabs on it. Im right around the corner from HH but the school situation isnt looking great right now. School just started this week for most places in the state and they are already having COVID out breaks and emergency mask mandate meetings....

During the past week we have had a few positive cases of COVID in the football program (with additional individuals quarantining as close contacts). As a result, I communicated last night to parents that we are pausing the football program for two days (yesterday and today).

After meeting with our football coaches, school personnel, and district staff, we are extending the pausing of the football season until Monday, August 23rd. We reached out to Wilson High School, who we are scheduled to play this Saturday, and they agreed that postponing the game is the best course of action.

Our current plan is to return to practice on Monday, August 23rd. We will keep you updated if there any changes to the plan. We appreciate your understanding in this matter. Thanks, and Go Seahawks!!!

It will take all the nepotism in the world for him to be coaching one more year here after this train wreck.

Wasn't the one excuse for Sneed not being a 5 star that he was not all that much on game day? Solid response.

The NEPOTISM trophy at ND was retired by the Clan Holtz.

Daddy chose Sonny Boy over Mark Richt.

Now there's some CrackerBarrel folklore BS in yarns spun by Bowden and Holtz.

But it was nepotism, PLAIN AND SIMPLE>

Lou tried to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, ND be damned.

The son was last seen in Ruston, nursing a 2-4 record, with victories over MIGHTY Houston Baptist and SELA

That is not Sela Ward, but Southeast Louisiana, otherwise misnomered as the Muddogs.

LB is the position freshmen are least likely to start/get much playing time at ND these days from what I can see.
Maybe Sneed is going to change that.

Not only Jaylon, but his three fellow frosh LBS, Burnham, Ziegler, and Tuihalalamaka, are all EARLY ENROLLEES.

It is a justiciable case, but Burnham and Zeigler have spent enought time in South Bend to be eligible to vote in Indiana.

And their coach, Freeman, Marcus, is aware that their arrival is less than 90 days away.

It will be fun to watch.

They also have two more players, so 34 instead of 32, as 5 Stars. I wonder if it’s because their scores are almost identical? The 3 are .0001 from each other.

Funny thing is Skip Holtz hasn't been an unsuccessful head coach. Dude won 7 bowl games in a row, albeit against lower end competition, before losing one in 2020. I guess he is coaching second tier players himself so that probably evens out.

Also, his record this year may look pretty drab, but it includes a one point loss to Miss State, two point loss to SMU, and a seven point loss to NC State. I would imagine there is a sharp turn around as their schedule eases up in conference play. He has won more than 8 games 5 out of his 9 years at freaking Louisiana Tech. All this being said I absolutely hated him in 2011 when he coached for USF and ND lost in a hurricane.
