In Parker Thune's, OU Insider, note to his readers he mentioned that while he expects OU to continue to recruit Tyson, he doesn't expect Tyson to be a guy that goes back on this original commitment. Solid news for some that are skeptical of his early commitment.

Awesome get by Elston and Freeman. This defensive class could turn out to be one of the best of the Kelly era.

Yeah, it sounds like he has a really good rapport with Elston! Huge get by the Irish!

Haha I just can’t help but point out that neither of these are things that undergrads study...

I'm sure Tyson knows that. I suspect that he would be considering a science major pre-med school or whatever for law.

Chances are that he would struggle with an BA in television and communications or some sort of sports hospitality (although hospital is in the word) degree.

It's all good and we should be damn happy to land Tyson.

Let's be honest here. Elston did a good job for a kid who belongs at ND leading up until OU offered but he was gonna finish finish second to the Sooners until Freeman flipped it back to the Irish.

STL recruiting still reminds me of the Dorial Green-Beckham saga and how much we were negged by other programs and his parents said they couldn't trust their son with us. Then he got kicked out of school at Mizzou for getting involved with people and things he shouldn't, and last I checked was in jail. That whole thing just made me mad. Maybe the kid was a bad egg, but no one in his life did him any favors by directing him away from the Irish.

That’s not an accurate depiction of DGB’s upbringing. Not excuses for future choices but the kid had a tough life and I wouldn’t blame him either for staying close to home. I won’t derail Ford’s thread more but that’s a oversimplification.
