Raridon is proving he needs to be more a part of the offense moving forward. We knew he was going to be a quality receiving weapon, but now he's showing to be a good in-line blocker. More reps for him plz.

I thought Bauman was going to be a better blocker than what he has been -injury related?
Regardless, I'm more than willing to invest in the young guy at this point.

They are setting the stage for some big time freshman contributions to the TE output this season. Our top 2 backup TEs have been injured in Evans and Bauman. Raridon and Staes are being provided a window to break through.

Thought Raridon's blocking was awesome vs cal. Now if the offense is looking for a guy to win 50/50s, why not give your 6'7 guy a couple shots?
Here's an opportunity for the young buck.

Gotta wonder if the increased specialization and year round nature/professionalization of youth and high school football might be playing a part in these soft tissue injuries.

Didn’t he tear it playing basketball the first time?

I have been saying this for a while now. Might nor be the case here since he already had this injury. But other cases i believe so.

Beats me.

Seems like there has also been an accelerated trend of trying to pack as much weight and muscle mass on these kids as quickly as possible so they can get on the field ASAP.

Would be interesting to hear some MD’s weigh in on this.

Is there actually an increase in injuries though? Or is this just confirmation bias? Is there an increase in concussions too? Or just more observing and reporting?

So this time it’ll be our Drs and our rehab people setting the timetable for him.
No idea if the folks who handled things the first time screwed up or not but Eli came back awfully quick from the first surgery.
Hope we can see this kid again with something close to the athleticism he had before. Don’t rush him back
