They used him so infrequently in the 2nd half I was wondering if I missed an injury or something. Couldn't understand why they didn't use the battering ram especially on the short yardage plays.

Don't take this the wrong way, because I love the E Train, but Saturday showed his one area that needs to be worked on and that's hitting the hole quickly. OSU's line was to quick to wait for the block to set up which is why the other guys were having more success just hitting the hole and coming off the hip of the O-line. There was a series late third or early fourth quarter where he did just hit the hole and had some success, but I think that's why the coaches didn't use him down at the goal line. I hope he rumbles for 200+ Saturday.

who was wearing 85 for ND to start the game last night, Baker? He's not good enough to be doing something special like that.

I can't stand us coming out with 3 tes or 2 tes and 6 oline, there's 9-10 in the box, that's so hard to block.

Dancing and waiting for the hole to open. Works well vs the bad defenses, not against the better one’s.
OLine is just not that good. Almost never got to the second level with their blocks yesterday.
I’d like to see us use the speed guys more and throw more to the speed backs rather than Estime

Duke did everything to stop the handoff that happens at the same spot every single time… no moving or sliding pocket, etc. like others said, price/love outside was there all day

We have the leading rusher in the NCAA who just ensured we won the game by breaking a 30 yd TD run with 30 seconds remaining and we still have shit-posting like this.

Even if every player was playing at the highest level, a number of idiotas would be spouting some shit about it.

This is pretending that it’s acceptable how bad we were running the ball vs duke other than fake punt and our last 2 runs… we were bad for a multitude of reasons, all nd self inflicted from middle of Ol, wr, play calling, etc

We did Estime and the other RBs no favors with the uninspired play-calling, or the shotgun delayed handoff stuff. Clearly Correll had a tough night and that didn't help. Etc. But also Estime has always been a bit of a boom/bust back. A lot of two-yard runs mixed in with the big ones. But he hits the big ones more than most.

Its crazy what parker is/isn't doing. Agree with you 100%

It was clear we needed more speed to the outside as duke was trying to take away the middle, but Love/Price hardly played. Yet we needed more audric at the end vs Ohio state as we were gashing them up the middle, and estime didn't play much at the end.
