I've kept my mouth quiet. But way back, Ron Dayne won a Heisman for Wisconsin, then was drafted in the first round by the Giants. Saquon Barkley, drafted, by the same New York Giants is a big back but doesn't get square to the line of scrimmage and take 3 or 4 when nothing is that.
This is the sense I get of Estime. He doesn't hit the line hard when nothing is there. He takes all these choppy little steps looking for something. For most of the game vs. Duke, he didn't just take the hard 3 yards. He baby stepped to line and got one. Sometimes, it's just not there, take all you can. Don't get me wrong, once he gets to the second level, he's a freight train. But there are way too many times when he doesn't just 3 or 4...and gets taken down for 1 or 2. He feels like Barkley that way (entirely different runners, Barkley is always looking for the homerun). And he looks like Dayne, not willing to hit the line hard.
Anyway, I was not impressed by Audric, Saturday. I preferred Love and Price just finding a little hole and driving for 4, 5 or 6. They seemed like the better options.
