They open up the bay doors at the end of the facility for wind aid. And use 35 lb plates for the bench press.

Here's his run:

This one looks faster than he ran at the combine. Harper ran a 4.48 on the same field which seems about right for him so I really think Audric was faster today than at the combine and it wasn't simply a matter of getting a home-field bump.

Great start today with good arm action. Good run by the big man.

Glad he improved from his Combine run. I hate that his phenomenal film gets nullified by the NFL 40 time. I think Kyren improved his 40 as well at ND Pro Day but still didn’t help draft stock as hoped. Hope Audric is more fortunate.

He should just rock up to the playing field off the team he wants to get drafted by and run fast in front of the coaches office until he notices.

Sadly I think a good 40 time at the combine would've solidified him as a day 2 pick. Now probably early day 3 at best. Regardless I think he's a still and immediately improves any backfield he's a part of

High character guy, no real injuries problems. With really solid film. He will do well

Who would you guys have taken on our 2024 squad - senior Kyren Williams or senior Audric Estime?

I'd take Kyren. Estime was awesome but had frustrating moments at the LOS dancing. I don't think Kyren's Junior year frustrated me on a single play.

Kyren for sure. He's proven what kind of player he is by making the Pro Bowl in the league. Guy was so good and hard to tackle and an unbelievable pass protector, something Estime didn't do well at I don't think.

We’re talking about the best ND running back (Kyren) since Bettis. Easy answer.

But "well" for an NFL RB these days is to get drafted late and then have a short, injury filled career. But you still make a few million dollars.

Kyren taking the first run against Clemson to the house.
It showed we had the "speed" to play with these guys, set the tone, led to our biggest win in a long time.

The 40 imo is stupid. They aren’t running it in the same gear that they would be on the field. I have always said that.

Estime has proven he can run past people, he has proven if runs past the D line and LBs he is going to run over a CB. His power is obviously his strength. His vision is good but he is to patient. That will hurt him at the next level.

I do know that whoever takes him is going to get a very good player.

With the way RB’s are prioritized in today’s NFL, I don’t think either of his times will have much impact on where he’s selected.

This word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Consider it poetic license. ha

Think I was going for more "pedestrian," but come on, how often do you get to use pedantic?! My brain must have just been itching to do so.
