I think mine actually twitched.

No movement but maybe there was detectable heat? Could be this Pizza Port IPA though too.

But hey... I'm a happy, low-T baller. Anything short of Randy Moss 2.0 is gonna get no movement.

I keep going back to that quote of Shipley's where he said something along the lines of him owing ND a visit due to Blake and especially Coach Taylor's effort in recruiting him. That he felt like he would be doing us dirty to not give us a chance to show him what we're all about again.

At the time that seemed like a very ominous quote. It still might be, if he considers that virtual visit to be enough of a compromise. Even though I personally doubt ND is gonna be able to host visitors as soon as June, he still has that visit set. So, if he commits to Clemson, he's gonna have to cancel that visit. I choose to believe he fully intends on making that visit, whenever it may be, and therefore I am leaning towards him committing to ND in the next week or so.

Will doesn't give a crap what we think about the scUM game. Him not committing to Clemson yet is all you need to know.

Can someone please clean this up? I'm all for the discussion but not in a thread for a 5* RB who's nearing a decision. Popping in and seeing the name bolded and jumping in here to see this is playing games with my heart....

What do you mean by this?

He's not going to make his decision based off one game, but the overall program.

If he was really sold on Clemson and distance was a factor, then why not commit already and end this? It's easier to make a 2 hour drive than fly, but I would think his parents told him not to worry the traveling when it comes time to make a decision.

Like the Tillery commitment, there is more to this than just playing football IMO. He likes what ND is selling and he's waiting so he can visit one last time and wrap it up.

Gotcha...I hope you're right. But I just don't have a good feeling about this one. The recent weeks has only added to my natural pessimism.

Just to be clear, he’s on record saying he’s deciding before his June Visit. The only way he makes that visits is if he commits to ND. Now, that could change, but a decision is planned for May.

But he's also said, while that's the target, he would postpone his decision date it if he's still not 100% certain.

CB to Clemson from NC State guy. I feel like everyones basically guessing at this point more than anything. Seems to be 50/50 give or take a few either way in my opinion.

Yes, but what I meant was that from everything I have gathered I don’t think theres been any heavy favoritism either way to be anything else but a guess. Nothing too solid to base your prediction on either way. I could be the one who is wrong here, but if you just wanted to take a guess with a 50/50ish chance of being right it’s easy to go with Clemson. They’re currently the better football team and they are closer. I believe he could create more of a legacy at ND right now and right now ND needs him more than Clemson does. Overall he can’t go wrong either way. Both good choices.

At this point, I think most not involved with ND will think it’s Clemson, if he doesn’t visit. On ND’s side, it sure feels like we have a lot more going for us than Clemson.

The Clemson confidence would be based on objective features (Clemson always gets their target - provided they visit, they always sign) rather than subjective features (actual knowledge of how he is leaning).

Big Fish's involvement in Shipley's recruitment continues to bolster my confidence we land him. Dude does an IG QnA with Ships. This guy is an absolute beast on the trail.
