If they can get the guys they want, I think without a doubt they would take 5 but they aren't taking that many if they aren't getting the top ofbthe board talents.
There is no question Rocco is an OL and IMO he can play anywhere on the OLine. I think the 247 player comparison is spot on comparing him to Zach Martin. Tengwall can play inside or outside other than C. Tengwall IMO is the closest thing to Q. Nelson that there is hence why I like him best as a OG.
As for Blake Fisher, he's another who could be anything along the OLine other than C. He reminds me most of U of L's Mekhi Becton who should be a 1st round pick in 2020.

There’s also a solid possibility that you get Garrett Dellinger and Rocco Spindler together. That could be a path to 4 guys. We’ll see. Probably 2 month before a 2021 OLineman is back on campus so there’s a bit of time

Would love to see the offensive side practically done with in April with say those 4 Oline and Shipley. Gimme top best available (WR) and start ramping up that defense.

You can't get much more of a glowing review than he gave ND and I fully expect he will get a pic from BK with him at Spindlers.

Given his comments, I'm not worried about a Top 12, Top 10, Top 7 and Top 5. But, if he was that glowing about ND, I wonder what he's said about scUM given 247 lists them as the fav?

Let the kid have his fun. We'll be in all of those top lists.

Coach Kelly has really been hitting the recruiting grind hard. Was in Georgia today. Might be the best thing to happen to recruiting in years.

Hopefully he finds the CB version of Kyle Hamilton down there.

I love "prove the haters wrong" BK. If that recent article turns him into an even better recruiter than he already was...look out...

Question about this post- Who are u referring to as haters? I know people on here have commented about how CBK hasn’t put enough effort into recruiting, but that opinion doesn’t necessarily come from any disliking/hating on him, but from insider knowledge and interviews directly from recruits. At times he has even mentioned on camera how he has put too much time into the other parts that come with being a coach at ND (events and speaking engagements) that he hasn’t put enough time into the things we tend to care more about (building relationships with the current team and prospects).
I’m not sure if that’s what u meant, but I wanted to clarify that the comments or occasional banter about his recruiting efforts improving as of late are in comparison to what’s been said in the past.

Amen. I am definitely not a BK hater. BK is a good recruiter when he wants to be. Simply wish he would want to be more frequently. Early reports this offseason seem to indicate he's putting in more effort.

The big difference here is that with McGregor there was always the fact that his family were huge Michigan fans and were so close to Ann Arbor that made it difficult to believe he was ever going to pull the trigger. Spindler's family on the other hand appear to be much less involved, with some even thinking that his parents prefer ND (unconfirmed).

I agree with this. Spindler's dad played for the Detrot Lions for 10 years and went to Pitt. They are not Michigan natives per se and Marc Spindler is originally from Pennsylvania. So I don't think this is like McGregor at all.

Forget about who's leaning where, how big of a want is he to you guys? He seems a little under sized and we're in on some great and long OL prospects, most of which have at least 1 visit upcoming.

Is he definitely an OL rather than a DL? Seems to be listed both ways in different places.

Also, his pic on 247 looks like an entirely different human being than the person in the pic at the top of this thread.

Since when have you decided that a high 4 star recruit at any position is worth turning away? He’s the type of recruit who you take now and figure out position later.

Definitely OL. I’m not hung up on the prospect as much as I am the position. We need to get some quality OL in this class and they’ve identified him as one of the better options. With that said, I’d still offer Pat Coogan and not blink an eye.

When size may be an issue, especially on the OL when this class is loaded and we have multiple ~.95 ratings and up heavily interested in ND. But I'm not saying we should turn him away, just wondering where he fits on the big board.

We know recruits always over list their size, and 6'4" means he's not that. But staff has seen him in person plenty so they know what they're doing.
