If we want to exceed expectations this season, we need both to play well.Per Eric Hansen Thomas is listed ahead of Colzie for the boundary receiver on his summer depth chart. Thomas had a nice B&G game, but more than half of the passes thrown to Colzie at the B&G game were not his fault.
I like Colzie ahead of Thomas.

Definitely agree- both need to play. I am more of a Colzie fan.If we want to exceed expectations this season, we need both to play well.
Wasn't the knock on Colzie that he didn't play in a very competitive HS league and it would take him some time to adjust to the level of competition he'd see in college?Per Eric Hansen Thomas is listed ahead of Colzie for the boundary receiver on his summer depth chart. Yes, Colzie didn't play in a competitive HS league. However Colzie did see PT last year. ND needs more out of both Colzie and Thomas.Wasn't the knock on Colzie that he didn't play in a very competitive HS league and it would take him some time to adjust to the level of competition he'd see in college?

Totally agree. I’m going to go as far as a breakout season!Freeman mentioned him early when talking about guys who have to step up in AD's absence.
A handful of mentions I've read since bowl season have stuck with me. Like in all sports, the guy who gets game planned against the least, usually is the one who produces the most above expectation.
Plus, he's only been a football first player for one year. When other guys were getting better as football players in the spring/summer, he was devoted full time to his first love, baseball... until this past year.
I won't be shocked if he's the biggest surprise in the WR room.
When Thomas got in during the B&G game he made plays. I think Thomas along with the rest of our younger WR's can surprise opposing DC's.Freeman mentioned him early when talking about guys who have to step up in AD's absence.

I thought he looked thick in the spring game. He put in some work since April with Balis!View attachment 3051208
Not to take a real football takeaway form a karaoke video….but that’s what I’m gonna do. This dude is a lean 215 now. He had a ton of baby fat I thought and may be ready based off the practice reports
I could see Thomas and Styles both being used in the slot and outside with Davis exclusively inside and Lenzy/Merriweather exclusively outside
3 catches for 74 yards and a beautiful TD. Hopefully sparks something moving forward.
As if I needed anymore of a boost to my own hype for JT, Chris and Jamie just injected more into my veins. I'm very excited for him next season.
