Really excited for him and Thomas. Good on both of those guys for working hard
I thought even Styles had a nice game today. Honestly, the receivers balled out for the most part today.

Hopefully they build on this in the bowl game (especially if Mayer sits it out) and going into next year we have a nice little stable of receivers finally.

Colzie - Styles - Thomas - Merriweather Is on paper a pretty damn talented group. Hope they bring in a transfer with some speed to round out the group.

Definitely a transfer. They may not get a true number one WR (for a myriad of reasons), but just need in the very least a solid body that can be counted on to be a part of the rotation. Add in one or two of the freshman (Remember... they are all enrolling early), and the wide receiver room should take a good jump next season... and they need to without Mayer.

He has been the best WR on the team the last qtr of the season. Imagine if he was not injured the first half of the season which really delayed his development this year.

Hopefully he is able to stay healthy going forward.
He did come on late after getting healthy. Gotta wonder what he could have done with a full season. He almost doubled his yards for the year tonight. He also had his first career TD I believe.

Colzie - Styles - Thomas - Merriweather is good enough for me. ND needs to utilize on the height of Colzie and Merriweather as they both can be red zone threats. Styles and Thomas could both fill out the slot.

Colzie impressed the last month of the season.

ND is bringing in some good WR's for the 2023 class that can be important backups when/if needed.

I think we see a jump not only with Colzie in 2023 but our whole WR group.

My favorite part of his rise is that the main knock on him this summer was his competitiveness (per prister). The TD catch was contested, and pretty much every catch of his has been high pressure, third down type plays. He's been clutch, which is not what I expected. He finds space well, uses his body pretty well. Hoping for a healthy offseason to keep this momentum going.

If Colzie hadn't been injured early this season, one has to wonder if he could've had a breakout season.

Now that we're getting a few QBs with big arms I'd like to see a real burner at WR again, someone that can take the top off like a Will Fuller. Otherwise I do like how Colzie and Thomas started to step up. Hopefully Styles gets back to form and we get to see more Merriweather next year too.

Would be great if we can combine our running game with a passing game that stretches the field. Think next year could be fun.

I am actually optimistic about next year's WR core IF we can add one legit transfer. Shit. If we can go in with Transfer, Colzie, Thomas, Merriwhether and the freshmen...does Styles flip to d? Could see him being a great DB

some folks who watch the game tape more closely could probably elaborate but it seemed to me everytime he made a 3rd down conversion it was on the same 15 yard in route?

Nope you’re correct. Even though some eat up the BS about Rees being so complex they have run the same very basic Dagger concept about a 100 times this year. Mayer or Thomas drag, Styles or Lenzy vertical, Colzie or Thomas deep in. Page 1 of any EA Sports video game.

If Styles can build confidence this spring/summer/fall and develop like we expected, then I love Colzie, Merriweather, Thomas, Styles coupled with the incoming freshmen and our TE talent. I think that would give us 9 great WR options if you include Edwards here (which I most certainly would).

This year was a slog because we had like 5 healthy WR options at best. It will only improve as we fill the gap left by Del's poor recruiting. Thank God he gave us a good final year.

Move Styles to safety. Need to make room for all the talent coming in.
