Any update on his status?
Freeman said it won't be until some point after the bye week. I took that as, clearly not this week, and they aren't sure at what point later on.

Maybe RS candidate since he played in only 4 games so far. Would give him 2 remaining years. That's my bet.

Im worried hes going to be held out then transfer. PLAY THE GUY! All he does is produce when targeted. At this point who cares about him in practice
He's injured. They aren't holding him out because of poor play, he had his knee scoped a few weeks ago.

I hope he can comeback after the buy week, I've always been a Colzie fan.

I think he at least sticks it out to get his ND degree.

He should shut it down for this year to retain RS and hopefully wants to return to ND next year.

CAVEAT: if he does get healthy for the bowl game could he play in it & it not count towards four game rule? I think they did that last year.

Likely the best thing for him this season and for him long-term. He's collects a redshirt and would have two years remaining on his eligibility clock. Would be best for him if he wants to consider the graduate transfer route. He wasn't an EE so he's likely not on track to graduate until December 2024 at the earliest. But, that's pure speculation on my part.

I was hoping he would benefit having Hartman this season, with his height if healthy he could've been a nice target in the red zone.

I've been a fan of him since signing with ND and he was my favorite WR of the 21 class.

Yes.
But sounds like he's still not ready

He was my favorite WR of the 21 class. Hopefully he can stay healthy this season and showcase his talents. How many years of eligibility does he have?

I think he has two years left. Played in most of our games in 21 and 22. In 23, he appeared in five games but one was the bowl game and that doesn’t count right?

Jaydon Thomas also in the portal per on3
Can’t find a thread for him.
Pretty good player someone will get good production here.
Him leaving may actually be a good sign. Staff committing to the new guys and the young guys.

My favorite memory of Colzie is watching him and Styles pancaking USC DBs their freshmen year. They both looked so hungry to see the field, I thought the future was bright. Injuries kind of hurt his development early, plus the muck ups in coaching. Wish him luck.

He was a good blocker for us this year too. Did what he could to help the team. Thanks, Deon. Will be rooting for you.
