We have the 9th best class in the country with only 10 commits. If our recruiting is hot garbage than a lot of schools should probably shut down their programs as they are below hot garbage. It’s so bad, what do you even call that? Shutting it down seems like the only solution.

Like I said, our current class is good and the #9 ranking is warranted. But I think there is/was room for this to be a top 5 class. The way recruiting is going right now, I think #9 is the ceiling. We all know that the current makeup of the team is good for 10 wins, but we need to get over that hump. Guys like Buchner, Shipley, and Colzie are the players who will do that.

So, 'hot garbage' seems appropriate, lol. It's like the kid that doesn't get candy before dinner. Worst parents ever!

I've said for months that there are some very valid reasons to be frustrated about recruiting but I think we can do a better job of articulating our feelings versus using hyperbole that doesn't even come close to describing the current state of affairs.

Hey aarowryan….GO OUTSIDE!! Please wear a mask though.

Considering with all that's going on in the world a #9 recruiting class isn't bad.

NO, I DOWANNA, I WANTED COLZIE AND SHIPLE TO COME PLAY

I couldn't agree more, we act as if we are the only school that doesn't get our top choices. We are a small Catholic school in the middle of nowhere, and we have a top 10ish program most years. Take the wins we get, and move on quickly from the losses.

Bounds is a complete unknown, he may not make a decision until well into the season if it opens up where he can take OV's. They need to expand the board a LOT more.

I see a flip here.
There was to be a flip. Either Johnson or Tengwall I would imagine

LT at Auburn... fight for an OG spot at ND if Blake wants to play OT

Sometimes you need to make a decision that's best for you

Never. All decisions are to be based on what is best for Notre Dame...and more importantly...their fans

Freeman at ISD seems to think this was about comfort. Johnson's friend/teammate committed to Auburn as well. He said this one may not be final as it's not the most popular decision with some close to him.

It is hard for me to get excited about grad transfers considering the low success rate the staff has with them.

I really like our class, but the class has a chance to better.

Canteen? He's the only grad transfer I can think of who didn't seem to provide much help depthwise.

Riggs started and was an important piece for us.

Otherwise, what other grad transfers have we had? I genuinely can't recall.

The same year as Freddy we had that Smith guy.

Avery Sebastian and the punter from Wake Forest as well as Riggs, Canteen and Cam Smith. Problem with these guys was not talent. They all (except the punter) had eligibility beyond the 4th year because they got hurt. And they got hurt again at ND.

That's why I'm concerned about McCloud but you still take him IMO. Riggs got hurt while at ND but he was a valuable piece when healthy; McCloud could be the same.

Kid certainly has a hell of an offer list for a high 3 star/ low 4 star.

I'll give Quinn credit, he whiffed on this one at last year's SC game. Johnson was really put off and hurt by not getting an offer AND reportedly being ignored while there.

The fact that he's back in the race says something about his salesmanship.

I knew this would happen. I always thought this kid would be part of the 2021 class!

Does this mean Evans will stay at TE?

I say get McGlinchey to talk with him ... looks like a younger brother to me. I'd like another McGlinchey.

So I guess it's confirmed that the staff want a true tackle as the last OL?
