Be on the lookout for Ivan Kindle later in the cycle. Great intangibles, proven winner. It IS fine,… whatever low three star we land after Moore bounces at the last minute will fill in well enough.

Most kids learn to tie their shoes by the time they are 4 or 5. What took you so long?As a former soccer player , DAMNNNN do ankle injuries scare me, because of what you just said. A 3rd degree ankle sprain in HighSchool stayed with me all the way through college soccer . Would sometimes tie my shoe wrong and somehow my ankle would start hurting again
No stairs on the field. He'll be fine.Fair question; I think the coaches will change his mindset as a runner if he's the starter. More emphasis on sliding and running for the sidelines rather than him trying to maximize his limited opportunities like last year and lowering his shoulder into contact. He had a lot to prove last year and he's a competitive kid.
But I agree, that's probably why Pyne sticks around at least through '22 if Buchner is named starter. Once snap away for a mobile QB running a lot of option and RPO, that's not a long-shot for playing time.
What about his career worries you?His "career" so far somewhat creeps me out. This post will get no likes, but I feel pushed to say: get ready for young Mister Pyne to be starting at QB, fellows. ( I don't myself think that that is catastrophic, but understand that everyone else does.)
I agree. This is all an overreaction over a fricken scrimmage lolLots of people are acting like Buchner is made of glass, but (and correct me if I'm wrong) he's gotten injured once in high school as a sophomore and that's it, right?
They might be alluding to the ankle sprain against VT (was fine) and the hammy (precautionary time off, with a hot Coan to take the reps anyway).Lots of people are acting like Buchner is made of glass, but (and correct me if I'm wrong) he's gotten injured once in high school as a sophomore and that's it, right?
The injuries are data points, but the biggest concern for me is just how much of a wildcard he is - now no observable blue gold game reps, and last year he would rarely throw when substituted in - often these games were still in doubt at the time.
He could very well pan out and this could work in our advantage (OSU will have very limited film), but it’s also fair for some mild alarms to sound in our heads.

Unless he can play corner against JSN I don’t think it really matters how well he plays. The injuries are data points, but the biggest concern for me is just how much of a wildcard he is - now no observable blue gold game reps, and last year he would rarely throw when substituted in - often these games were still in doubt at the time.

Hahhahaha guess I got used to Velcro for toooo long !Most kids learn to tie their shoes by the time they are 4 or 5. What took you so long?
All 100% true ! Luckily (I guess) mine was outerGrade 3’s can last your entire life as far as permanent damage. Most people with a grade 3 will have diminished movement from the typical 45/25. Inside grade 3’s are brutal.
But Buchner did not have anything more then a twisted ankle. He was practicing the following Monday. We call that a “tweak,” when you feel pain but are perfectly fine the next day.
I just have complete trust in Rees. He chose Buchner over JJ and like I said I just have trust in him.The injuries are data points, but the biggest concern for me is just how much of a wildcard he is - now no observable blue gold game reps, and last year he would rarely throw when substituted in - often these games were still in doubt at the time.

Good idea. What’s his idea for the QB/WR problem?Washington was head coach of blue. Rees' idea.
Play the starting QB when real games are happening is probably a good start lolGood idea. What’s his idea for the QB/WR problem?
