Was the recruiting department and staff actually scrambling at the beginning of the portal opening? Or were they staying patient, expecting other names to enter?

I’m not saying they didn’t miss on anyone, but things definitely worked out.

If so I’m worried some of these guys are gonna get big money offers to go elsewhere so I’ll still be worried until they’re at two-a-days. Still finally something to get excited about for us Irish fans.

I’m not saying they didn’t miss on anyone, but things definitely worked out.

I'd say they were methodical. Sooner or later we may all have to just acknowledge that Notre Dame is at the top of their game and we should all just have blind Faith.

I'm going with my guy on the inside that knows Partridge and he said that ND runs a very organized, professional operation that rivals NFL teams. I wouldn't be surprised if they were very patient and prudent with their processes.

I've been a big proponent of going to the portal and paying for production, which sounds like Cignetti's approach.

That said, if you swing and miss at the guys who had production, swing for the fucking fences and go get high upside, potential nfl guys. If the light bulb goes on, ND goes from contender to favorite.

The guys that are announcing today have all signed their aid agreements, so theyre not just committed like Minchey, Smothers, etc. Keeley is actually in class this morning.

Yep... And ND has the nucleus to not need to hit every target. But if you upgrade (big time) a few positions at need, you can be deadly. I'd take KK and the OL he's worked against over Burnham any day of the week.

Irish Illustrated is my go-to podcast. I also listen to The Independent. I'll also tune into ISD on YouTube, and also IB (usually when something has gone poorly and I want catharsis).
