Boys come through in OT. Looks like we didn’t miss Burton in end of game situations.

We don’t really have a point guard without Burton but we really didn’t have one with him either

Great win. Couple random thoughts.

1. Towt is attitude we need. I loved it tonight, especially after Burton.

2. Burton going down sucks. He is a great talent, hope its not too serious.

3. The ball movement in the 2nd half was fantastic. It was a great team effort and I cannot tell if it was a result of how TCU was playing or a concentrated effort by ND. Regardless, should be eye opening.

4. Did I mention I like Towts attitude?

5. JH is a freaking dog. The shot to get to OT was unreal. I liked what he can bring and he is a generational talent.

6. That said, going iso the entire OT was meh. I get it, it was the way to beat their trap. Fine. But with an extended Burton absence, that iso isn't the answer.

7. Really proud they won this. Shrewsbury hasn't produced like I hoped, but this and the Mizzou win shows grit that hopefully means a corner was turned.

Defense in OT this game was excellent. Miles better than last year.

Great news & posts with information related to the TCU game. The last score I heard was ND was down 77-72 with under 1 min. to go.

I think this could be a momentum building type of win. Nice back-back wins for ND vs. Missouri & TCU.

Prayers to Burton that he can come back healthy soon.

Has anyone seen anything on Burton? Seems like we should know something by now.

Two guys have 27 of Idaho's 33 points. Koehler has done a good job after they replaced Sundra with him but none of our guards can handle Johnson.
Towt has been our best offensive player. They’ll probably start to just foul him every time he gets the ball.

Irish pull away late and win by 15. Nice win vs a pretty good team. They never did start fouling Towt who scored 19, all around the rim.Dude is a warrior. Probably felt he was back at Northern Arizona going against a team without a shot blocker.

Nice second half from them but I’m really disappointed by the defensive effort.

I continue to think the offense flows better without Burton. They’re actually running a functional offense and because of that they’re getting more open 3s. I do have concerns that they dont have a consistent creator besides Haralson if there’s a day the 3s aren’t dropping.

Towt with 19 and 15. Good for him. I liked the wrinkle of him pushing the ball up the court.

Certa is quickly turning into my favorite player. Very cerebral and doesn’t just try to rain 3s

Certa reminds me of Quinn.

That's was a nice win against a halfway decent opponent. Idaho has a few ballers and to win without Burton is just a bonus.

Nice win fellers.

Team executes a smoother offense without Burton. I’m sure they’ll have a few howlers when the 3s aren’t dropping but that was a helluva win
I was going to make a similar point when catching up on this thread. Anyone would be crazy to say we are a better team without Burton, but the lack of sets and just plain old iso to Burton was getting frustrating at the same time.

He's uber talented, but he's also undersized, and when defenses know it's coming, particularly late in games, it feels stale and predictable and they throw lengthy bodies at him.

Hopefully they can continue to play well without him, and if/when they get him back, the offense will be better off for it.

It is probably unlikely based on how the injury looked, but man if he can get back before that tough road trip of Virginia Tech into North Carolina in the span of (4) days that would be fantastic.

Those are both likely Quad 1 victory opportunities depending on how VA Tech plays over the next few weeks.
That would be able six weeks post TCU.
We should be able to manage until then without him.

2-2 through the west coast trip conf games and Clemson & Miami home games is hopefully doable without him.
3-1 would be amazing without him.

Just happy to see the boys playing good ball.

Baby steps, but much improved then where we have been the past few years.

If the timeline from the article comes to fruition, he wouldn't be back until roughly Louisville on 2/4/26
