12 seems like a great number to me for CFB - and I was a proponent of the 4 team. Excitement today & yesterday has been awesome.

16 would be too much IMO - too many undeserving 9-3 teams will make it in. 12 is a solid #.

I never thought of this but the odds right now of ND ever joining a conference are probably lower than the odds of no one being in a conference.
