But are you gonna punish ND for scheduling FSU,USC,Louisville when they were all ranked. And then the shit the bed. It’s not the schools fault for trying.

Kirk made a great point use one group to schedule all the teams season.
More beaucracy is not the answer …. Something something. 😂

Obnoxious that they pair us with the one team who we don't get a distinct home field advantage due to climate.

Also the auto bye for conference champs is just weird. At first glance, it makes sense to promote the conference championships, but when you get some of the lesser teams like Boise State getting a bye in the first round you just have to wonder whose dumbass Idea that was.

Preserves potentially easy second round wins for the big conferences.

They did that before the PAC imploded. It will change in short order but made more sense at the time.

NIU wasn't bad team...they finished 7-5...had close losses...

They finished #20 in rush defense with 111 yards per game

Manuel saying they value SoS is a ding on ND, as well.

There's no 1 factor, but it all matters.

No CCG means ND really has to work on the other factors, and SoS is one of them.

It's too bad ND can't take advantage of the cold vs a warm-weather team.

That's the only disadvantage I see. Indiana and UGA both beatable.
I agree IU and Georgia are both beatable. IU exceeded expectations this season and came out of nowhere, besides Ohio St. ND will be their toughest opponent. Georgia is not the same Georgia this year as previous years.

ND can win this thing. Not the best seeding scenario, but they should be able to take down Indiana and give Georgia a run. If we can somehow get past Georgia then it’s all upside from there.

Off topic… Texas is terrible. No clue how they are getting so much respect.

Current title odds:
The gap between PSU and ND is simply because of the path, I assume. All the advanced stats put ND ahead of PSU.

Although whoever wins the championship is probably going to have to either beat Georgia or a team that beat Georgia.

Really wish we would've got that 6 seed, but that's our own damn fault.

As a born and raised hoosier, ND and IU are equal loves in my book. However, they are at the complete opposite end of the spectrum regarding CFP program status, so never thought id be put in this situation, ever. I literally thought it was impossible.

I told some folks after IU crushed UCLA that if the impossible happened and IU and ND were matched up in the playoffs, that I'd have to root IU since it would mean more for their program's future. Now, i have to eat those words.

I do the same with supporting ND bb when they play IU bb, so think it's fair to return the favor in CFB.

I think ND wins convincingly. And honestly, don't really want IU to win cause they don't have much of a chance against UGA, but here we are.

I'm just damn proud of the state of Indiana today. Its the only other state with 2 teams in the playoffs besides Texas. Hell, Florida has none!

Combine that with Purdue being the worst they've ever been, and you have one happy CFB fan.

See yall in a couple of weeks! And Go Irish (if they beat the Hoosiers)!

They are way better off without Beck and Indiana is much better than Boise, and probably better than ASU/Clemson/SMU
I would just lump them in with those last 3 - they're easily in that lower tier of teams in the field
