I’m heated. The bagman, the SEC scheduling FCS byes mid conference schedule, no class football factories, now NIL payouts and transfer without needing a transcript….and the playoff rewarding conference game losers, unlike ever before. If there was a 4 team playoff, Penn state would be out. But now they stay ahead??? And has a much easier path. It just added to the list. Love ND and always will, but the chatter about not penalizing these money game conference games…..Saban is mentioning currently SMU doesn’t have a top 25 win, neither has Texas. Unbalanced schedules

Unless you get smoked in the Conference Championship game, I don't think you should drop. If you punish a team who barely loses a Conference Title game, you'd be rewarding teams who don't even make the Conference Championship Game, so it'd be better to not even play in it and risk a close loss.
Well, I respect your opinion but can't agree even the slightest. They went from the 5 spot to........the 6 spot with a loss. The team ranked right behind them is arguably the hottest team in the country with a better record and more impressive win vs common opponents.

What evidence is there that would have mattered? Seriously? Who did PSU beat?
An undefeated ND team would've been #5. ND is behind PSU because they have a terrible loss to a .500 MAC team. PSU's losses were to the #1 and #8 seeded teams by 1 score each. If ND had PSU's schedule they would've probably lost to both Oregon and Ohio State as well. I don't disagree about who PSU has beaten. But you could say the exact same thing about ND. ND's signature win is an 4-loss A&M team.

No, it is worth it to play in it even with the risk bc you get a 1st rd bye if you win! That is invaluable. Any idea how difficult running the table is gonna be over 4 games?! Ok I dont know why I'm arguing w/fellow fans. I'm done. Cheers!

I'm a little concerned about Indiana...#1 rushing defense giving up 70.8 yds per game..and #9 in passing yards allowed at 170 yds per game...

We are ranked #3 in passing yards allowed...# 51 in Rushing defense with 138.8 yds per game

Indiana ranked #29 passing offense in 265.2 yds per game

Rushing offense #51 with 173.6 yds per game

ND passing offense ranked 101 with 196.4

ND Rushing offense ranked 10 with 224.8 yds per game

I love this draw for ND
Indiana which we will likely close near -300 favorites.
Least talented Georgia team this decade by far, with a banged up QB whose confidence is very low at the moment.
PSU or Boise for a chance to make a national title game, I mean come on. Tell me that before the season started, I would have jumped at that opportunity.
This is a better long term path than 5 seed in my opinion. Obviously (6) would have been great, but committee needs to save the cash cows that are conference title games.

Just put $50 on +1200 at DK
It was +750 this morning before the reveal.
Don’t agree with that line move at all.

Go Irish!

I'm with Saban.

But are you gonna punish ND for scheduling FSU,USC,Louisville when they were all ranked. And then the shit the bed. It’s not the schools fault for trying.

Kirk made a great point use one group to schedule all the teams season.

We play the worst team in the field and then Georgia without their qb is a huge break for us.

But Saban is absolutely trying to kill our independence in this hour. Sounds pretty convincing on playing 10 conference games and not scheduling any tough out of conference games.
