I think his weight makes him even more vulnerable. I know he weighed in at 203 at the combine, but his playing weight was much closer to 183 (you would know better than I.) How did he put on 20lbs in 2 months? Is most of it water weight?
I think he was playing in the 185-190 range, but yeah, he obviously bulked up some for the combine. No idea if it was all weights or water or what.
They don’t have anybody else. Pierce is in his 2nd year and Campbell is a free agent. Teams doubled Pittman all last year, but if he gets single coverage, he’s pretty good.
Yeah, if they threw in Pittman the WR group would be pretty much depleted. Pierce was up and down this year. He may turn into a good receiver but he’s not #1 caliber.
That makes Indy an incredibly interesting team. Would the OC and Jackson mesh well? What else would the Colts have to add to be a serious contender? I rarely watch NFL, outside of the Super Bowl so curious what all you NFL diehards think.
I am inclined to agree with this, but if a GM is worried about how Alabama QBs historically do, you have to take some pause on Ohio State QBs as well. Fields may prove that trend wrong (I hope he does) and I think Stroud is going to as well.
Colts need to shore up the O-line. LT was a disaster and Kelly at C didn’t play well last season. He’s been hurt a lot the last two seasons.
If a GM is worried about the history of a position from a particular college, that person should not be a GM.

From what I have been reading, he won The Combine in terms of the off the field part. Just had outstanding interviews with everyone that talked to him. Then he did all of the physical stuff incredibly well on top of that.

I don't think they're repeating last year. That division is wide open with Rodgers leaving. I don't see them being nearly what they were last year. Their window to win starts next year so if they're picking #1 again because of their pick, it was a massive failure.

Yeah, he graded out one of the top two or three highest ever, but you're right about the development. This is where teams kill themselves all the time. Drafting on potential, particularly at QB. Someone also questioned his statement about the receivers needing to catch the ball when they asked about his low completion percentage. Quick way to lose the locker room.
I've seen a lot of his snaps. A lot.
They're really going for it hence the LB signings and trading back. I'd be shocked if they weren't a markedly improved team last year. Also, they lost some close games down the stretch. One would think with another offseason under their belts and some new talent, those could turn into W's.
