Haven't heard anything about blocking 100 FG's this season yet, hoping ST's picks up where it left off at.

Sounds like WRs aren't cutting it.

Merriweather may just be a deep threat.. Not an all around guy

I really hope Jayden Thomas breaks out. Merriweather might have the most potential but JT has actually shown up.

Maybe an off night, definitely not going to write him off, Fuller dropped so many balls in ‘14 camp before a breakout soph season

Yeah, I think people are reading way too much into the receiver play today.

Seems like they've have had good camps up to this point. Not sweating it. And as others have mentioned, corner is REALLY good this year.

I think wide receiver will be fine. The big thing I took away was Coogan at LG. It was said that Schrauth was the guy and the battle was Kristofic and Spindler at RG. They could be experimenting, but I'll be surprise if Coogan is the starting LG.

Yeah, and they also said Rocco was with the 1's at RG the whole practice as well. The II guys believe that means Coogan and Rocco have locked in the LG and RG spots since they weren't giving anyone else reps with the 1's.

I agree with you that Coogan beating Schrauth is a surprise.

Not really concerned that our WR’s didn’t look good they are going up against probally a top 5 DB team in college football. They won’t see corners as good as we got all year

Alright. We suck again. No wr’s or o line.
Or we're good again. Max CBs and DL?

The net result of inner-team scrimmage must be zero. I'm actually less concerned about the WRs because youth requires seasoning and they are getting that now. It takes time and reps. They are likely going against the best secondary they'll face all year. I don't know if we ever said that during Kelly's tenure.

OL has my attention. I can't believe Schrauth is not taking the position from Coogan. Great for Coogan if he's snatching the job away with improved performance. Hopefully Schrauth can make another surge. Spindler taking the right guard spot is fantastic news for our run game. I hope our 5 can gel and pass set for Hartman because he'll find receivers if given time.

O’Malley is raving about Jaylen Sneed. Said he was all over the field and violent. Had two busts but essentially sounds like they were situational that can easily be avoided by not having him in there. Think he’s going to solve a lot of the pressuring the QB problems this year.

I also hope Onye’s play can match his trash talk, or at least lead to a couple 15 yarders for the opposing team

Yeah I’m not worried about the receivers based off one report. They had a bad day. Doesnt mean they won’t have a good day tom or in games.

Sounds like Sneed is a missile on blitzes. Jamie called him a "demon". The younger LBs are going to be so good next year, Bowen and Ausberry show up in every review on ISD. Scratch that, the whole freshman defensive class. Christian Gray could start and even the two DL are making waves. Al Golden can recruit!

Sounds like the sub package with Liufau and Botehlo on one side is generating a lot of pass rush. Sounds like left guard is a mess and no one's taking the job away from the others. With RG locked down though and experience at ever other OL position, I think Rudolph can focus and figure it out in the next few weeks.

I stand by my statement that we're overrating Merriweather. If he's just a deep ball threat, are we seeing any evidence he's going to win 50/50s? Does he have to be wide open to make a play? Maybe he needs another year. Colzie appears lost in translation. In reading the three early morning reviews on ISD, WR is probably our weakest group. All they have to talk about is the two freshman surprising, and that's not good. In hindsight, we should have brought in a transfer. Or maybe they tried, but it sure would have helped.

The reports week after week are that they can't get open, and only the freshman are impressing. It's not a bad day I'm afraid.
