SIAP but media gets a full practice viewing tonight for their 7 PM practice. The kool-aid is already at all time high levels. Can they pump it any higher?

Thank you! I knew there was a full practice and scrimmage today and I was wondering where the hell the reporting was!

Well that's kinda what I mean. Talich takes the Andrews scholly spot for now and that double filled position is a problem for when (if) Andrews comes back. ND isn't really "finding" a 2024 scholarship for Talich anymore. This is all assuming Andrews has a commitable offer.

I know a transfer out will probably free up Talich's spot, but this idea doesn't assume that.
I guess I don’t see how they have anything to do with each other. Talich’s decision was made long ago that they’d bring him in and compare him to 2024 S’s. Andrews isn’t a 2024 S. He’s a 2026 S.

If anything, I think how Talich showed up to campus in June impacted why the staff went with TBP over other S/ATH types. Talich is that FS, the benefit being hes already on campus.

Anyone know if I should stay up past my bedtime tonight to await the practice reports, or is the thought that they will come out in the morning?

I’m sure tweets/reports will come out tonight.

7pm practice, I’d expect stuff to come out around 9:30/10

Sampson Horka and Sobel all have almost totally separate lists of players who impressed them tonight lol

Didn’t Horka & Soble each take a different side of the ball? So they would be different.

But the universal standouts were Gray, Traore, Burnham, Rubio.

On3, Sampson, Driskell, etc… all named them.

This seemed like a last chance for 2nd/3rd string guys to show their chops before ND moves to prep.
Like the staff was looking to see who was going to be in the 2-deep & who wasn’t.
So the backups got a lot of reps to see who can play with the varsity moving forward to this week.

All are lists that basically do not include any of the guys we're hoping to see. Still no wide receivers, several backup d lineman, some walk on and former walk ons.

Yeah Audric didn’t even take reps during team periods

There is a time where the staff has to make a cutoff.
It’s not between the 1’s & 2’s, because that’s ongoing. And they will battle & the staff will decide over the next couple weeks who starts & who is 2nd.
But before that they have to get to that group.
They aren’t looking at guys who are 2’s who are battling 1’s.
They are looking at 2’s who are fighting off 3’s.
So to get to the next phase, you let them battle it out with all the reps, real game scenarios, with the 2’s.
And you see who wins.
So dudes like Burnham, Gray, Traore, were probably battling for a Varsity spot moving forward. Botehlo, Morrison, Hart, JPP, etc, aren’t out there battling them. They are solid in the 2 deep.
The question is, who did they pass up? Or did they do enough?
But you give them real reps to shine.
