I really can’t take On3 seriously.

In the spring they said Buchner outplayed Hartman.
Now they are saying Angeli outplayed Hartman.

Do they have Hartman mixed up with a walkon QB?

And who the hell out of Singer, Horka or the teenager new kid, is qualified to analyze football?
First you have Power giving indefensible rankings of Carr & KVA, now you have local unqualified idiots spewing nonsense.

What is that site doing?
in their defense (fuck on3 btw), TB did outplay him during a lot of the spring practices.

ISD said Hartman was better then the other 2, did have a couple picks though. Not afraid to throw the ball into tight windows.

I think that’s something we Irish fans are going to have to get used to this year. Our past few QB were ultra worried about protecting the ball, and with Book, to the point of hamstringing the offense. I’m okay with risks and forcing a few things if it means more points on the board and downfield movement.

I’ve thought about this a time or two as well. We as fans need to check ourselves if/when he throws more picks than we’re accustomed to. Hopefully, a balanced offense will take some pressure of him and he‘ll realize he doesn’t have to be the entire offense.

ND fans will just blame Rees for any picks

I don’t listen to IB often, but they are very positive after the first practice. But a 3 hour podcast? Jesus

That’s short for them for a day.

They usually do a 3 hour during the day, then a different panel does a 2 hour show at night.

Just wait for it to end & put it on 1.5 speed & skip all the rants & long winded stiff. You can get it all in an hour.

Literally all of his shows are 3 hours. If not 4 plus lol

Driskell loves to hear himself talk, between his rants and taking 5-10 minutes to answer the same mail bag questions over and over again; the show goes on forever.

Mail Bag question- Which freshman receiver has the best chance to see the field this year?- Talks about Greathouse for 10 minutes.
Mail Bag Question- Do you think any of the freshman receivers will play this year?- Talks about Greathouse for 7 min
Mail Bag Question- Of the freshman receivers, who is most likely to contribute this year?- Talks about Greathouse for 5 minutes
Mail Bag Question- Who do you think leads the team in receptions this year out of the freshman- Talks about Greathouse for 5 more minutes.
"It's been 3 and a half hours but hold on Vince we got a super chat!!!!."
$10 Super Chat- Do you think there's any chance Jaden Greathouse plays this year or was the spring game a fluke?

The Kool-Aid is FLOWING over there.

They mentioned that the team speed is great this year. They continued by saying the team has a handful of guys, especially in the freshman and sophomore class, that just move with a different gear. That would all make sense because they have prioritized athletes in the Freeman regime

I think that goes back to Kelly's philosophy of playing conservative to minimize mistakes so the other team beats themselves.

A few highlights from Sampson's article in The Athletic. Good read if you have a subscription.

Notre Dame’s cornerbacks dominated the day as much as any position group can. Corner entered camp with a chance to be the most talented group at this position since Julian Love and Troy Pride Jr. in 2018. But maybe they’re even better than that?

Hartman feels like a quarterback who can throw screens with touch and timing.

Notre Dame has had quarterbacks with this kind of accuracy. It’s had quarterbacks with this kind of velocity. It hasn’t had many with both. Hartman has both.

To watch Hartman is to see a quarterback who throws receivers, running backs and tight ends into space instead of waiting for them to get to a spot.

How many running backs in college football will force more business decisions from defensive backs than Audric Estime? Not many. He looks like the Quenton Nelson of running backs. Engage at your own risk.

I’m not sure who is more jacked currently between Estime and Price. Price is a specimen as well.

Rylie Mills looks imposing. I need to go to the gym.
NFL people really like him. If he can put it together and give them something to see on film, it could really fall into place for him come spring with The Draft.

The more I think about Hartman + this OL the more I question whether Rees going to Bama was the right long term move. He probably could've parlayed this upcoming season into a HC gig at a P5 school.
But supposedly he's interested in NFL OC jobs, not college.

Ask yourself who you think has a better chance of making the playoffs this year, ND or Alabama? Even though their starting QB is still up in the air, with Alabama's track record, I think Tommy has a better chance getting there via Alabama.

Rees is actually the reason why I don't think Bama makes the playoffs. Rees inherited a bad QB room and he has shown zero ability to build up or develop a QB room.

Who are you crediting Ian Book to, then? Just curious.

Just a friendly reminder that Ian Book was a 3 star, the 18th ranked pocket passer in his class. You can nit pick about his lack of a deep ball, but dude was a winner and a very accurate passer in the short to intermediate game.
