Agreed...She's one of the best all around players I've ever seen at Notre Dame. It would be an enormous loss.If Sonia is done, then we are done. I can't easily list all the quiet but hugely important things she does --- almost every play.
Seriously! Hidalgo was still in the game up 53 points. I get she wants to get her time because she is a freshman but be half way smart about it. Sonia shouldn't have been in there either with the huge lead they had at the time. Work the bench at that point.Ivey and Freeman both love keeping their starters in when they’re up a million. Both got burned too
I disagree. It’s the third quarter. You’re trying to build the players stamina to play 35 minutes a game so come conference time you’re ready to go. I do agree that Hidalgo probably didn’t need to be in the game that late in the fourth however.Seriously! Hidalgo was still in the game up 53 points. Any update on Citron?
watching them play right now on NBC against the fighting illini and the announcers said good new for irish fans as Soni will only be out for a few weeks but i don't know how accurate their info is though.Any update on Citron?
i watched the whole game and yes the officiating was terrible today but we won against a good illini team at least. These so called “Refs” fucking suck BIGTIME! Scraping the bottom of the barrel these days with college level zebras.
Clearly you do. You took the time to post…No one cares
Need not say more. This Man right here Isn't old. He's lived It, and He should call himself Wise MikeGood to get to watch the game. === Impressions:
A. Worst officiated game I've watched in years. I really am in support of female refs, but this was unconscionable.
B. Hildalgo looked more mature to me (a big deal) to go along with constant preternatural skills.
C. Hope people got to watch this, because it showed how KKBransford can REALLY help us.
HUGE hustling motor and relentless power inside on all scrappy balls.
D. Prosper also revved up the "attitude" out there. When we started getting all the inside and
loose ball stuff, it turned on all our more passive people. All the bigs and even little DeWolfe.
E. DeWolfe might have had a coming out party. She looked WAY more like a full partner in the action.
F. Ivey set up an interesting defense (just once or twice; hope she doesn't forget about it.)
This defense was a 2-3 zone but it put Hildalgo alone at the top with DeWolfe behind her.
This ensured that Hildalgo would be in the grill of the point guard no matter what side she tried to go.
DeWolfe was very good at the quick switch to the second spot, and then re-switching to put Hannah back on the ball.
As a junk defense, I liked it. Against certain guards, it should give them a headache.
G. Watson's inability to gather herself for lay-ups finally got fixed in the fourth quarter --- THAT would be a Godsend.
H. Good to hear the claim that Sonia doesn't have a tear/rupture, Now that her absence "inspired" several slackers to
grab hold of the game themselves, we have to ultimately be way better for it IF she comes back "whole." There will
then be games where we can always have fresh erasers to put on opposing mid-size players (there were games last
year when Sonia had to play the opponent's best player every minute of the game --- ex. Van Lith at Louisville ---
now we have Bransford and Prosper to dog any reasonably sized girl.)
Ignore him. I did.Clearly you do. You took the time to post…
It’s nd football time. Stop spamming
she was supposed to pick between our irish, Louisville and Michigan state before signing week a week or so ago but didn't do anything and people are saying she might be torn about where to go. some have her rated as a 5 star.I've heard that Zach Randolph's daughter is considering ND and Ivey is after her hard; this would be a nice pick up for ND and Ivey.

I've only watched highlights from two of Hidalgo's games, but she's a lot of fun to watch. If I was an opposing player I would throw the ball away anytime she got close lol. She'd scare me.Worthless thought but I can't help typing it anyway: Hannah Hildalgo looks like THE most unstoppable player I've seen in a Notre Dame uniform, probably ever --- even Skylar. She is TOYING with some of those people. If this new big that's coming is as advertised (she only needs to beat the boards and defend the rim), AND Sonia is back wholly healed, we might seriously contend next year. I imagine Prosper will leap forward to join that talent/skill level as well; and Bransford. Who knows how Miles fits, but some coaches would find a way. AND I'd think we'd become an attractive transfer place for bigs and shooters.
Hildalgo+ Citron+ Prosper+ Bransford+ and the new 6'5" Big ... oh my, yes. Defense some peoples' brains out.
I'm looking forward to watching this. PLEASE Ivey don't mess it up!
