Can't blame him there. I would expect him to take a leap to the professional level. IIRC, he was flirting with the idea of playing overseas before ultimately deciding to return last year.Jon Rothstein is reporting that Cormac Ryan is not returning to ND.

His IG shows that he has declared for the draft and entered the portal, with his stated goal to play professionally. I like Cormac, but I don't see where his game translates to the NBA, so I'd imagine his professional career would be overseas. But I wish him luck, he played hard and had several good games and moments, especially in the 21-22 season.Jon Rothstein is reporting that Cormac Ryan is not returning to ND.

There's no doubt the was our emotional leader, dude never quit and always played hard, and there were several moments in his career where he got hot and couldn't miss (see Bama in the first round of last year's tournament). I felt like he was an underrated defender, too.His IG shows that he has declared for the draft and entered the portal, with his stated goal to play professionally. It’s gonna have to be just to have enough guys to play.Man the next 2 years our team is gong to likely be Transfer U
We'll have plenty of transfers and most of them will be in. Especially if you count the Penn St signees.Man the next 2 years our team is gong to likely be Transfer U
Technically this was wrong, he could return to ND but that seems to be highly unlikely given the wording of his "thank you" instagram message.Jon Rothstein is reporting that Cormac Ryan is not returning to ND.

Maybe the B stands for something else. His IG shows that he has declared for the draft and entered the portal, with his stated goal to play professionally. The regional and semi-state games the past couple weeks have featured some packed houses. Southern Indiana is still pretty close to what it must’ve been like in the single-class era. We’d occasionally hit up rivalry games down in the Washington/Vincennes area when I was at ISU and it would be standing-room only in a 4,000+ seat facility.
I think the 4A championship game this Sunday will be one of the most heavily attended state finals games in Indiana in quite some time. Kokomo will bring a huge contingent and Ben Davis should bring a decent crowd also.
When you guys talk about Indiana high school basketball, these are basically the visuals that goes through every person's head not from Indiana.

So true. Big George, Oscar, Rick Mount, Damon, Alford, and Plump quickly come to mind.True but if you're from Indiana, it's not even in the Top 10.
No one knew about Larry until 5 years after HS.

Greg Oden and Mike Conley are legends for my generation. The Zellers—especially our own Luke and the shot he hit to win it all against Plymouth.
Larry wasn’t a highly regarded high school player??True but if you're from Indiana, it's not even in the Top 10.

I’d have loved to have seen that early ‘70s East Chicago Washington team with Junior Bridgeman, Pete Trgovich, et al vs. Indpls. Washington. I think they might have come out on top.Prior to class basketball, The NCC was as good a HS basketball conference as any in the country. The D1 talent they turned out annually was hard to match.
Yeah Bird played in relative obscurity in Springs Valley.
Washington’s 69 team was the best ever. Gary Tolleston almost spoiled their perfect season in the CG.

That East Chicago team also had Tim Stoddard who played in college (NC St?) and went on to pitch in MLB. Both guards also played on major college teams as well. Quite a team. And the other team in East Chicago was very good as well.I’d have loved to have seen that early ‘70s East Chicago Washington team with Junior Bridgeman, Pete Trgovich, et al vs. Indpls. Washington. Maybe but Washington is considered the best by most. Washington had George McGinnis and Steve Downing. McGinnis was an All Star in the ABA and NBA. IIRC Downing also played pro though not as long as long.I’d have loved to have seen that early ‘70s East Chicago Washington team with Junior Bridgeman, Pete Trgovich, et al vs. Indpls. Washington.
